We recently hosted an all-store meeting, where we recognized members of our team who have gone above and beyond in their performance and commitment to customer experience. We brought in lunch for everyone and enjoyed celebrating our coworkers, whom we consider our second family. In the video we asked a few of our team members their favorite part about working at Bill Jacobs Volkswagen. The most popular response was: "the people"

Top Shop Challenge: What are a couple of things you'd like to highlight that happened last month?
Last month we said goodbye and good luck in your next adventure to one of our Certified Master Trained Technicians. He moved to a new career due to some medical issues. He is an amazing human and was a pillar of our team. We all deeply miss him. As I look for a silver lining to all of this, I find our team members who stepped up and took on more responsibility. Each person shared their expertise and talents with the team. I am so proud of all of them.

Keith, our shop foreman, has 21 years of VW & Audi experience. Not only is he passionate about the brand he is also a wealth of information. He is always eager to help everyone on his team from our technicians to his advisor team. He is currently training 2 apprentices, one through the ASE Apprenticeship program and the other through the Volkswagen Apprentice program. Here is a couple pictures of his VW Master Technician ring ceremony we held at the store. It was a great time and his parents were even able to attend.

We are the only shop In OKC that is certified to work on luxury Audi and Porsche vehicles. We know that the repairs made in our facility are only as reliable as the experts who work for us, which is why we only hire the best and brightest in the collision repair industry.

Top Shop Challenge: Ask your techs to give a shout out to a teacher that helped get them where they are today.
I was in our very first fundamentals class taught by our internal trainer Shawn Ball. He did an amazing job at teaching the class. He was very personable with each and every one of us that attended it. Shawn was able to explain things to me that I’ve had a hard time understanding. He knew what me weak points were and was able to focus on those with me. At the end of that class, I feel like I came out a better tech and was more confident in my work. I believe Shawn is a very important asset to us at Vermeer Great Plains.

Durham School, located in Durham NY visited the facility to see the "real deal". 36 fantastic Questar III Heavy Equipment juniors and seniors visited us in chilly December. We want to thank every student on this trip for being so engaged. A special thanks to Capri and Eric, their amazing teachers for chaperoning and preparing the students for some great dialog with our techs!

Clyde Herring is our most veteran service advisor. Not only that, he's Sheehy Elite, which means he is the best in the business! He is hard at work day by day making sure that his technician's recommendations are relayed to his customers as quickly as possible. He's detail-oriented and provides great descriptions of the services along with maintain a high customer satisfaction score. Great job, Clyde!

Our Golden Wrench Award. We believe having a strong team culture is critical to our success. One of the things we do to foster that is by creating and award that is voted by your peers. The team selects their teammate who supported them and showed the values that are important to us. Scott has now won this award multiple times and he is our entry level tech. It doesn't matter what you know, it matters how much you care.
