Does your dealership have a purple giraffe? WE do!! Mike Aus, Owner of Durango Motor Company, has a 4-foot-high purple giraffe in his office. When asked about the unique reason behind the purple giraffe Mike said that "Team members walk past my office and chuckle because they all know what it means. I often walk around to visit with every team member and share with them how much I appreciate what they do for Durango Motor Company. I also share that we all have the same job here, we all just contribute in different ways. That job is Guest Enthusiasm. I also ask them if there is anything they need to accomplish this, and become GREAT themselves, because if you are not GREAT, I cannot be. I do not care what it is, I will buy it for them. Employees could even say they have an obstacle that requires a purple giraffe to overcome. Without hesitation, I would buy it for them, but at some point, it will always come down to self-accountability and how you use the tools given to overcome obstacles."

Dee has been with us for 8 months now. Dee will be the first to admit that computers were not his strong suit. His hard work and dedication have shined through. He has put in endless hours and continues to work hard to learn all of the new processes. As of last month Dee was our highest rated advisor in CSI. His best attribute is the ability to build report with the customer and understand their needs. He was previously a door to door Kirby salesmen. Due to Covid he was looking to make a change, and boy we’re glad he gave us a chance. His strong drive will get him where he needs to be, and month after month he continues to improve. I know he will keep his head down and continue to plow forward. Were looking forward to see what the future has in store for him here at Broadway Automotive.
