Our best toolbox goes to MARK! Mark has been a crucial part of team Wendle for 9,592 days … over 26 years! He has a large 4 section Snap-on toolbox that is about 15 years old filled with various tools, supplies, and even some refrigerated snacks. We all know a technician’s toolbox not only says a lot about who they are, but the work they do as well. Mark keeps his toolbox organized and stocked with all the right tools, which is a great reflection of his experience, success, organization, and work ethic! We appreciate all of Mark’s hard work (and cool toolbox) that has helped him meet so many of our customers’ needs over the years. Thank you for letting us showcase your kick-ass toolbox, Mark!

We're upgrading the service drive during our expansion with some state of the art technology. This is the newest piece of Hunter technology: The Hunter Quick Check Inspection. The tool automatically checks the alignment, scans the tire tread and will note measurements for each individual tire, along with wear patterns, will be hooked up to a 65" TV that will show all of the data to the incoming customer for transparency purposes, recognizes customer vehicles automatically via license plate recognition, and takes pictures of each vehicle's condition upon arrival.

One thing that's important to remember is that the automotive industry has totally changed since a lot of the experienced technicians began their careers. It's not just the technology and machinery that has changed drastically, but the whole process of attending school and obtaining tools has gotten to be a lot bigger of an investment.

Vehicles have reached a point that kids are not getting to work on them in the garage with Dad anymore except for maybe an oil change. Sometimes Dad isn't even around. At this point I think that it is critical that they get exposure at the high school level. That's the earliest Auto Shop is offered, This being my 1st year as a teacher I've taken in anything that anyone has offered. We are currently getting ready to do a head gasket on 2006 Toyota Camry, we have re-sealed oil pans, done a ton of oil changes, brake jobs, things like that. The main problem we run into, is on a limited budget, tools and some specialty machines that it would be great to be able to familiarize the kids with.
