Top Shop Challenge: Ongoing training is a huge part of our industry. Highlight some team members who have recently completed training programs and/or obtained certifications.

We wanted to highlight these three technicians who are currently in progress of completing their full certification through GM for Electric Vehicles. They are in the final steps of completing the last few training seminars. We’re very excited for them to complete this training with all of the EV's coming out in Chevrolets future line up.

Top Shop Challenge: With the end of school year near, does your shop hire students for the summer? If so, highlight them and talk about how you’re helping to grow the next generation.

One of the best ways so start your career is through a summer internship or co-op program. We currently don’t have any on our team. We have brought in many co-op students over the years. We believe that bringing them in the right way pays huge dividends for them down the road. If they build bad habits now it will only make their growth harder for them. This is why we map out a growth plan for each student.

Used to be a regular thing back in the 80', 90's and 2000's. Now we rarely ever do anymore unless the guy has experience. Even the general service position has become very technical that a guy with no experience cannot just get hired in and expect to learn so much in a short time period the few weeks the summer offers.

Give me a few hard plastic chairs, some basic tables, a microwave, refrigerator, stock the vending machines, and spend the rest on a pay increase for me. I'm not going to a lounge, I'm going to work.
