Top Shop Challenge: Ongoing training is a huge part of our industry. Highlight some team members who have recently completed training programs and/or obtained certifications.
We had several of our employees participate in a new leaders series called 'Leader Standard Work' is a strategy for frontline managers to oversee effective processes that allow them to be equally effective leaders. The benefits of strong systems include the ability to focus on continuous improvement efforts. In this session, learn strategies for creating standard work and managing effectively so you can focus on continuous improvement in the workplace.

Last week we had the pleasure of treating our entire Fixed Ops department at our Fixed Ops Banquet. From catered food, cold drinks, cash prizes & killer door prizes, it was an excellent time to show appreciation to our employees for all of their hard work. It truly is ALL GOOD AT TOM WOOD!!!

Our shop had a record of gross hours sold of 8,087. We sold about 405 hours a day.

Top Shop Challenge: With the end of school year near, does your shop hire students for the summer? If so, highlight them and talk about how you’re helping to grow the next generation.
We currently have three students in the General Motors ASEP program (Automotive Service Education Program), and are pursuing students from the local technical high school programs. Initially, students work with a mentor to develop their skills as technicians until they become independent. While working with a mentor, students are exposed to a wide range of services and grow familiar with procedures.

Great night out celebrating our technicians by attending a cooking class. We made pasta from scratch and completed a full Italian dinner. It was a great time and our techs made a delicious dinner. We went to "let's Cook" in downtown Columbia to celebrate our team's success.

Top Shop Challenge: Ongoing training is a huge part of our industry. Highlight some team members who have recently completed training programs and/or obtained certifications.
Several of our employees just completed their DOT Training Certificate Series. This certificate training covers all facets of commercial motor vehicle inspection and maintenance requirements found in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR). This course includes comprehensive exposure to the Code of Federal Regulations.

A portion of their sales from Oil Changes on May 24th will be donated to the Folds of Honor to support our Veterans. This store has a great culture and they love to give back and support local organizations.

Michael's Subaru of Bellevue will be giving back to their local community this Memorial Day for an event called Oil Change for a Change. A portion of their sales from Oil Changes on May 24th will be donated to the Forgotten Children Fund to support our Veterans. This store has a great culture and they love to give back and support local organizations. This organization is ran by and supported by Vets and is a very cherished organization. As one of our long time employees who served, Don Rall is one of the founders. It will be a great day!
