This ought to be one of the options for best post of the month. Good job, Josh, on explaining why it's so important to document well when asking for extra time and adding value by explaining why you want to be absolutely sure before chucking a part at something.

Technician Spotlight: Tell us about yourself. What is your name, role, and number of years you’ve been in the industry?
My name is Connor Yamamoto, I have worked in the car industry for about 8 years. I worked in car sales first and then was a shop porter and then learned to be an entry level technician changing oil and simple jobs. Now I'm a full on technician doing all sorts of different jobs and learning lots every day to improve myself.

We've had some great employees leave, which is a bummer, but we've also had some of those GREAT employees come back! They returned because we've been around for many years and we continue to be a vital part of the economy, we offer Good pay and benefits: Due to the demand for skilled workers, jobs in the diesel industry and at Masterfleet will continue to offer competitive pay and excellent benefits packages.

Our goal as an employer is to retain our people. On occasion we lose may lose one, and we understand that employees have choices, but we try hard to bring them back! With new training options, good pay and benefits and a variety of work. What are a couple of things you'd like to highlight that happened last month?
It was a short month but a good month! Yahir, one of our Honda express technicians, started his mentorship program with Louis, one of our main line technicians. Louis works fast and produces a lot of hours for the shop, so Yahir is trying to keep up with him :-) Congrats, Yahir! On the Toyota side, we had some movement! Micah has been a valet with us for over a year and has been expressing interest in moving into an express advisor position for months now... a spot finally opened up and he has started his training! We also brought back a former employee, Mike, to start training as an express advisor as well. Why only have 2 new advisors when we could have 3, you ask? Well, we decided to add a 3rd! Daniel, who is new to our family, started training as well. They all started training at the same time, and they are already forming a good bond with their team of technicians! Exciting! Two of our express advisors are moving up to main shop advisor roles as well! Congrats to Mikey, who started with us as a valet and has finally reached his goal as a main shop advisor. Matt has been with us for less than a year, but he's shown great growth and he is ready for the next challenge as well. They are helping train the new express advisors before they move fully into the main shop.

I love the way Sonic does their tool holders. It makes it so easy to see what's missing with just a glance.
