View full postOur shop is closed Sundays for family day. The advisor/tech schedule is on a three-week rotation. For example, an advisor and their team will have Monday off and work Tuesday-Saturday. The next two weeks they would work Monday through Friday, then the cycle starts again. We find that having a weekday off allows you flexibility and 3-day weekends are always nice!

We had the pleasure of hosting the Houston Lead Program (Letting Everyone Achieve Dreams) students at Chastang Ford as part of their field trip to explore various career opportunities in the Automotive industry. We took them on test drives and allowed them to experience the power and agility of the Ford Lightning, Bronco Sport, and Ford Raptor! We were thrilled to showcase our dealership and provide insight into the day-to-day operations of an Automotive dealership while also giving them a hands-on experience with some of our most exciting vehicles. It's always great to see the next generation of professionals taking steps toward their future careers. Thanks for visiting, Houston Lead Program students!

During April we started the process of transitioning all of our marketing including text marketing, review management, social media and paid search to individual providers that are each the best in class. We have been using a company that provided all of these things in one package. We found that we had out grown this platform and determined that we could achieve better results through specialized providers. Our Google reviews are respectable at a 4.8 rating with 327 reviews. With our new provider with look to double our Google reviews over the next year. Our paid search will become more targeted and efficient in reaching those potential Customers. We have increased our marketing on Facebook and Instagram and are working on building a YouTube channel for unique content. The last part of this transition will take place early next year with a new website focusing on building on the current organic ranking that we have built. All of these things are designed to build our business that will resist the ups and downs of our industry.
To keep things interesting we work on a wide variety of vehicles. Tom had the opportunity to work on a 1975 International Scout II. This was a service vehicle that was full of sand but virtually rust free. The Customer wanted us to make the vehicle road ready so that he could drive it daily. Tom reworked the entire brake system with new braking components all the way around, some new lines and new fluid. The vehicle also received four new shocks, a new fuel pump, a new starter and a complete tune-up including timing. The steering needed a new u-joint to take some of the play out of the steering. The automatic transmission was repaired and adjusted. Overall the vehicle drove great when completed. As we said the Customer wants to drive this daily, or at least until the Carolina heat has him back to install air conditioning.
