The shop is heated, however there's no air conditioning. (Mobile service truck has heating and air conditioning).

8 Technicians 2 Service Advisors 1 Service Manager 2 Parts Specialist 1 Parts Manager 1 Corporate Trainer

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

1st Shift 6:30am - 3:00pm (Monday-Friday) 2nd Shift 9:00am - 5:30pm (Monday-Friday) NO WEEKENDS!!!!

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

- All specialty tools - Laptops and diagnostic tools - Large hand tools - All refrigeration equipment

What type of break room facility is provided?

Fridge, microwave, table, chairs, coffee maker

How many bays does your shop have?

6 bays 2 Mobile Service Trucks

What is your parts ordering process?

The Technician would send the parts request to the Parts Specialists via email and the Parts Specialist processes the order and delivers it to the Technician.

What is your policy on side work?

- No side work or moonlighting for refrigeration repairs

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Not as hard on their body, longevity, not as dirty of a job, clean work environment. Transport refrigeration is a resilient work field.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Yes, we offer 4 certification levels and yearly continuing education.

Basic safety training and forklift certification training.

Corporate Trainer works with younger Technicians when available, we will partner you with an experienced Technician to further develop your skill set.

Yes, we attend Career Fairs at Schools and to the public.

We would have 14 Technician, 4 Parts Specialist and continuing to grow.

Quick phone screen. We discuss the applicants current job, what attracted them to Thermal King, their skill/experience, and if they have a degree

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Interview is completed by the hiring manager. We talk about the applicants experience, certifications, career path, and just getting know the person. We also will take them on a shop tour and give some introductions to other technicians

Background check, drug screen, and drivers license check

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

No formal skills assessment. This is primarily discussed during the interview process

We try and provide a quick turnaround but it does depends on how many people apply for the positions. No more than a week
