What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We currently have 7 technicians, 2 apprentices and 3 lube technicians

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday and Thursday 7:30am to 7:00pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 7:30am to 6:00pm Saturday 8:00am to 3:00pm Technicians work 8:00am to 5:00pm

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We offer all Ford specialty tools and major equipment

What type of break room facility is provided?

Very comfortable, heated, and AC, Refrigerator, microwave, etc, all the amenities

How many bays does your shop have?

20 bays, an alignment rack and its own dedicated lube lane

How many repair orders do you average per month?

800

What is your parts ordering process?

We utilize single thread which is a texting platform that communicates between advisors, texts, and the parts department

What is your policy on side work?

Personal vehicles are okay!

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We offer monthly contests and outings for the service department! We have no bs policy.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Yes we pay for all continuing education with Ford Motor Co

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We have multiple dealerships. We have practices and growth programs to help new technicians form into shop foremen and mentors

Can you describe your performance review process?

We monitor shop overall hours and individual hours and always have efficiency reports and we always look for ways as a team for each technician to perform at the highest level.

What type of safety training is required?

We offer compliance training and have annual inspections to make sure we are working in a safe environment

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We currently have two technicians who are training and mentoring apprentices! they train and properly show them how to diagnose and use Ford workshop manuals, etc.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We support multiple local charities and are very involved

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Yes we have contracts with two tech school nad our local high school

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes we do. Basic screen to gauge the interest level of the candidate

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Verify the information from possible tech and ask questions to make sure we are the right fit for the tech. We discuss background, certifications, skill set, and career goals

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Yes we do have background checks and drug tests

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Skill assessment is done through the interview process

Ford Certified Technician Pay Range: $25.00 - $60.00/hour

Pay plans are based on experience and we have a very aggressive increase based on increasing certifications
