What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Closed Saturday and Sunday

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Shop provides all primary tools - including testing tools, scan tools, some OE Scan Tools - Scope, and loaner tools for Lube Tech. The leading tech provides their hand tools.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Clean, climate controlled and have a fridge, microwave, sink, and ADA-compliant restroom.

How many bays does your shop have?

10 bays

How many repair orders do you average per month?

220 to 230

What is your parts ordering process?

The service advisor will use their knowledge and experience to identify the parts that need to be ordered. They will also consult with the technician to get their input.

What is your policy on side work?

We do not allow side work because several liability issues can arise if a technician is injured or damages a customer's vehicle while working on it outside of work hours. However, we do allow technicians to work on their own vehicles outside of work hours.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Employees are encouraged to continue their education. We take part in NAPA training programs, and it's paid for by the employer

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

There's always room for growth for the right employee. Through different training opportunities and hard work, we look to help our technicians achieve all of their career goals

What type of safety training is required?

GMO Environmental sends out monthly information that employees can review

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Senior techs will be available to answer any questions from more inexperienced techs. They will also be available to help with repairs when time permits. Our shop also takes part in the NAPA apprentice program

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We support local programs like FFA, local sports teams, prom, and other local donations

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We've worked with DMACC with different job shadow opportunities, sponsoring students, and take part in local career fairs

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We are currently looking at adding more space to our shop. With that, comes more opportunities for employment. We will need to add more technicians and a service advisor to accomplish our company goals. We are also looking into getting more involved with ADAS

No formal application, we will ask for a resume

We would rather do in-person interviews but would be willing to do a phone screen if the situation permits

Owners do the in-person. Discussion includes experience, background, career goals, and getting to know the candidate

A Level Technician Pay Range: $7,000.00 - $100,000.00/year ($3.37 - $48.08/hr)

Flat Rate Technician with ASE Master Certification

B Level Technician Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00/year ($28.85 - $38.46/hr)

Flat Rate Technician with some ASE Certification, with experience and willingness to learn.

C Level Technician Pay Range: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00/year ($19.23 - $28.85/hr)

Flat Rate Technician with some experience and willingness to learn. Will train to take ASE Certification.

Lube Technician Pay Range: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00/year ($16.83 - $19.23/hr)

The hourly entry-level technician can perform L.O.F. and minor repairs. On-the-job training provided.
