Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Our shop is both heated and air conditioned.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We have a total of 20 technicians, who work in teams of about 10.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Technicians work 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. The exception being one Saturday a month on average.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
Technicians are expected to provide their own standard tools. We provide a vast quantity of special tools along with shop equipment.
What type of break room facility is provided?
We have a lunchroom with a fridge/freezer, microwave, and TV. There are also vending machines in the break room with snacks.
How many bays does your shop have?
26 bays and an alignment rack.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
we average over 1200 repair orders per month.
What is your parts ordering process?
Our parts department handles all parts ordered via either a counter order or via our multipoint inspection tool, keeping the tech working while they handle getting the parts ready.
What is your policy on side work?
Employees are welcome to work on their own and immediate family vehicles on specific nights of the week after hours. No side work is permitted.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
We offer a fast-paced, busy shop working for a company that values its employees and their families.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We provide our technicians with job training through Audi of America's various programs.

Can you describe your performance review process?
We complete two reviews per year. The first is designed to set goals for the employee and discuss their current performance; the second is to identify where the employee is in reaching those goals.
What type of safety training is required?
We have a compliance company cover the safety training and requirements.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Our shop foreman and team leaders mentor young techs for a period of time after completion. We slowly transition them into the flat rate life.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We participate with local charities and typically have a couple of cars and coffee type events every year.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We have in the past, and we hope to continue to connect.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Typically, a brief phone call prior to the interview. Then, we focus mostly on in-person interviews.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
We go over their resume and a series of questions related to their automotive knowledge and abilities. We typically speak about why they are interested in working on vehicles and if that relates to their hobbies.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Yes, we do all of those things.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
Not before hiring but an inexperienced tech would be put in our trainee program.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Typically, within one week.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
About two weeks.
Technician
Pay Range: $17.00 - $40.00/hour
Our shop operates as a flat rate facility. If starting as a trainee the tech is started as hourly and then develops into a full flat rate tech. Pay will be based on background, certifications, and skill set

- Vacation Offered
- Two weeks' vacation after one year of employment. Employee is awarded 3 weeks vacation after 3 years. At the 10 year mark employees are awarded 4 weeks vacation time. Time is reset based on your anniversary date not calendar year.
- Paid Holidays Offered
- Paid holidays are covered at 8 hours of the employee's hourly rate. We offer 6 paid holidays per year in addition to the employees accrued time off.

- We off both short and long term disability via Aetna/Hartford.
- Life Insurance Offered
- We offer life insurance paid for by the company.
- Uniforms Offered
- Company provides uniforms to technicians. We also provide rubber gloves, safety glasses to our technicians.
- Other Offered
- We offer multiple employee outings, including but not limited to the yearly golf outing, employee appreciation days, BBQ and lunches at various times during the year. Paul Miller hosts a massive Christmas party every year for the employee and their spouse. Employees that have worked for the Millers over 10 years are treated to a yearly picnic at a local private golf course including pool use and golf, with catered lunch and dinner as well as open bar. In years past Paul Miller has also given tickets to Watkins Glen for the IMSA motorsports race.
