Yes, our shop is heated and air conditioned!

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

You'd be working amongst a team of around 20 others!

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

The shop hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Usually day shift timeframes unless the job specified differently!

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Some of the tools the shop provides that are available for all technicians to use include, Lifts/hoists, tire machines, wheel balancers, brake lathes, battery chargers/testers, AC recovery machines, transmission jacks, engine hoists, alignment machines, diagnostic scan tools, and workstations/tablets to name a few!

What type of break room facility is provided?

We provide a separate, designated break room for our employees. The break room includes tables and chairs as well as a full kitchenette.

How many bays does your shop have?

Our shop has 12 bays.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

It depends on the time of year! On average, our shops handle between 800 to 1,200 repair orders per month! Busier months can push even higher, especially when you factor in fleet work, warranty repairs, and quick service lanes.

What is your parts ordering process?

Our parts ordering process is completely supported by our on-site parts department!

What is your policy on side work?

We understand that side work is part of the industry, but our main concern is protecting our team, our customers, and our reputation. As a policy, we don’t allow side work to be done on company time, using company tools, parts, or space.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Yes! Our culture and atmosphere promote skills training between colleagues! Additional brand-specific training is offered as well!

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We’re big on promoting from within and giving our techs a clear path forward. Whether you’re starting out as a lube tech or already turning wrenches in the main shop, there’s room to grow into advanced diagnostic roles, lead tech, shop foreman, or even management.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Your first performance review is after 90 days of employment! After that, you will have annual performance reviews.

What type of safety training is required?

Safety is a top priority in our shops. All new hires go through a safety orientation during on-boarding that covers shop procedures, PPE use, equipment handling, and emergency protocols. We also provide ongoing training for things like lift operation, hazardous material handling, and fire safety. Our goal is to make sure everyone goes home safe every day!

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Our more experienced techs play a big role in helping younger or less experienced techs grow. It’s a team atmosphere and seasoned techs are always willing to lend a hand, explain a repair, or walk someone through a process.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Our teams get involved in things like local fundraisers, food drives, school sponsorships, and community events.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We believe the next generation of techs is key to the future of the industry, so we are actively engaging with local high schools and technical schools!

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Sometimes! However, most of the time, it is hard to gauge someone's character over the phone. Most interviews will be in-person!

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Our in-person interviews mainly entail a conversation! We want to get to know you and hear all about your experiences!

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Yes, we perform background checks, motor vehicle records, and drug screens before hiring an applicant.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Usually no, but this may change if we are hiring for a very specialized role.

After an in-person interview, an applicant can expect to wait around a week for a rejection or an offer. We respect your time and want to ensure you have timely answers!

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

The full hiring process takes about a week! However, this largely depends on the interview process and how many applicants have applied that might extend the process by a few days.

Experienced Automotive Technician Pay Range: $30.00 - $45.00/hour

The Experienced Automotive Technician role would be paid out per flag hour, bi-weekly.

Express Automotive Technician Pay Range: $16.00 - $20.00/hour
