Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Our shop is heated and very well ventilated. Our state-of-the-art shop is warm in the winter and comfortable in the summer thanks to our 5 industrial ceiling fans throughout the shop.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We have two teams of two techs for Express Maintenance needs. We have one Master Diagnostic Tech, Two Advanced maintenance Techs. We have room in our shop to grow!

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Our service and parts departments are open Monday-Friday 7am to 6pm with staggered staring times and Saturdays 8am to 4pm. technicians rotate Saturdays, and are given a day off the following week when working a Saturday.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have all manufacturer required special service tools. Express Technicians are provided with tools by the dealership. We also provide state-of-the-art equipment such as a Hunter Hawkeye Alignment Quick Check and Tire Check Machines on the Service Drive. Hunter Tire Mounting and Wheel Balance Machines. Our Hunter alignment rack and machine are brand new as of April 2024

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a large break room with many tables. Refrigerator, microwaves, coffee, vending machines and a TV.

How many bays does your shop have?

We have 10 lifts in the shop and one brand new Hunter Wheel Alignment Rack and computer system. We have 3 Detailer bays, and one Detail lift. We have two wash bays.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

1300-1400

What is your parts ordering process?

Our parts are sourced from Toyota, and in most cases can arrive the next business day. Parts are also sourced through local parts suppliers when required.

What is your policy on side work?

We do allow our team members to work on their own, or immediate family members vehicles with permission from management, after working hours.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Working here is a fun and fast paced environment. We have several company sponsored events throughout the year.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We follow Toyota's Technical training program. Techs can work up from Certified Technician to Master Diagnostic Technician. We like to promote from within to keep our business and your career growing.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

Entry level team members are encouraged to follow the Toyota Technical Training Program. The more you learn, and the higher level of your certifications will increase your earning potential. We pay for: ASEs that are fully completed and passed MFG training (both on and off-site travel, lodging, food, wages while at class)

Can you describe your performance review process?

We believe in performance reviews and regular “check-ins.” Some of the metrics discussed are technician proficiency, attitude, attendance, teamwork, CSI, and other key metrics. It can be a great opportunity for you to sit down with your supervisor and communicate what’s going well and what areas you need help with or could use improvement. It also gives us the chance to see what we can do to help you.

What type of safety training is required?

We operate our safety procedures according to OSHA guidelines/procedures/standards. We strive to be a healthy and safe workplace for all.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Our senior technicians are afforded the opportunity to mentor new and upcoming techs if they wish to do so. These up-and-coming technicians work side by side with our seasoned technicians to learn from the masters with a hands-on approach.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We invite our area High Schools and Auto Tech programs to schedule a "shadow a tech for a day" to encourage anyone interested in the business to attend.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes, we will contact you and schedule a 10-15 minute phone interview.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

A question and answer format. Review your training and background. Overview of our benefits package.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We do require drug screening.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Yes. We may ask you to take a brief online skills assessment through Hireology.

Express Toyota Maintenance Technician Pay Range: $14.50 - $15.00/hour

Hourly base pay plus production incentive.

Automotive Detailer Pay Range: $14.00 - $17.00/hour

Hourly base pay plus production incentive. Starting pay based on experience.

Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician Pay Range: $0.00 - $0.00/hour

Flat rate hourly base, plus production incentives. Starting pay is based upon experience

Parts Counterperson Pay Range: $15.00 - $17.00/hour

Hourly base pay with production incentives.

Automotive Technician Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.00/hour

Hourly base pay with production incentives. Starting pay based upon experience.

Full time associates are eligible for paid vacation time. Calculated on your anniversary date. After one year, you shall be entitled to five paid days of vacation. After three full years you shall be entitled to ten days of paid vacation. After eight full years you shall be entitled to fifteen days of paid vacation. After Sixteen full years you shall be entitled to one additional day of paid vacation added each year for a maximum total of twenty days of paid vacation per year.
Paid Holidays Offered
Paid Holidays are; New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
ST / LT Disability Offered
Individual and family plans available after on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Short-term disability insurance is fully paid by the company.

Uniforms Offered
The corporation maintains a business causal environment. All associates should use discretion in wearing attire that is appropriate for the office and client interaction. Uniforms are provided for to service, parts and detail staff.
Other Offered
All eligible full time, and part time regular employees have the opportunity to purchase supplemental insurance on he first of the month following their introductory period. It is insurance for daily living, (example, AFLAC). Supplemental insurance premiums are paid by the employee 100%. A representative of the company will explain the benefits and assist you in enrolling in the plan. Payroll deduction is used to collect all premiums and will be submitted on your behalf.
