Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

Currently LTT employs 11 amazing employees!

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We are open Monday thru Friday 8AM to 5PM.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Lifts, Flush machines, drain buckets.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a large clean break room designated just for our techs with a full size freezer and microwave.

How many bays does your shop have?

10 bays equipped with lighted lifts: 4 Four post for FWD and 6 drive on lifts for Trucks and SUV's

How many repair orders do you average per month?

100-150

What is your parts ordering process?

Techs who wish to order parts through us at a discount must pay cash the day of the order and pre-approve it with management,

What is your policy on side work?

Parts cannot be purchased on LTT accounts for side work. It can not interfere with your production during work hours or be such that it creates a conflict of interest.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We have been visited by salesman and industry leaders from all over and they all comment on the cleanliness and organized facilities. We have been called the "Hilton" of transmission shops. Come on in and ask for a tour!

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

There are a number of online resources through ATRA and AAA where training is offered at no cost to you.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We are always looking for people who want to grow and be part of the company not just an employee. We love to promote from within when it is a good fit. As a young company, we see a lot of growth in our future and are always looking for the next location manager and even people interested in ownership/partnership opportunity.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We believe in constant feedback and an open door policy. Our technician pay scale is structured so a technician does not have to wait a year for a raise. They are in control of there financial success. Hourly staff , such as office and parts employees, receive a 6 month review and then annually there after.

What type of safety training is required?

Lift operation and general shop safety.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We value and understand the importance of educating the next generation and partner with local high schools and Tech schools such as TTC and Broken Arrow High School for job shadowing and training. Our techs that choose to mentor will receive training and agree to the conditions set forth by the schools.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We support our veterans, police, and schools. We participate in and sponsor promotions that give back to the communities that have given us so much. Some events include: Pies for Police, 99.5FM Bike Drive, Toys for Tots, and the Veterans Museum Golf Tournament Fundraiser just to name a few.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Our CFO is on the Tulsa Tech advisory board for the auto program. Those students are encouraged to job shadow and our president, Wayne speaks with students during classroom visits when asked. Recently we spear headed a high school mentorship program and now have an MOU with Broken Arrow High School and Tulsa Public Schools. We held an event in March of 2020 for Parents and students about careers in the transmission and auto industries. We had ESI trainer Maylan Newton as a speaker, and AAA sponsored meals, door prizes and gifts were sponsored by O'reilly's, Radiator Depot, WIT, and other amazing partners.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We hope to open other facilities across the Midwest as well as grow our wholesale business to auto shops and transmission facilities.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

We love employees that are eager to learn and grow their knowledge to become better technicians. Promising technicians can be invited to Vegas for the annual ATRA seminar. ATSG also offers off site seminars that are an option as well. If there is something you feel will benefit you and the company that you don't see us offering, just ask! We like feedback from our staff and typically are able to meet any training requests.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We have a 2 page application you can pick up in our office or print from our website.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

At times we may.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

We typically will give a tour of the facility, introduce you to staff, and go over the position, pay, and answer any questions.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

All staff must pass a drug test and background screen prior to employment.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Not at this time.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

Typically 24-48 hours, once the background and drug test are complete. Out of state backgrounds can take up to a week.

Technicians must have their own tools in order to be considered for employment.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00/year ($19.23 - $31.25/hr)

This pay will apply to an R&R Tech and not necessarily the listed position.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $22,000.00 - $40,000.00/year ($10.58 - $19.23/hr)

This pay will apply to an R&R Tech and not necessarily the listed position.

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $25,000.00 - $33,250.00/year ($12.02 - $15.99/hr)

This position is hourly 12-16.00/hr. based on experience and not commission based. It does qualify for health insurance, holiday, vacation, and sick pay.

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $0.00 - $10.00/hour

Student Techs must apply through the participating schools and not directly at Lifetime Transmissions office.

Employee Health Insurance Premiums Paid 50% by Employer. Lifetime participates in Insure Oklahoma Subsidy Program. Those who qualify and may have up to 100% coverage for spouse and children.
