Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Heated Yes, Offices and break rooms are air conditioned.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
Currently 15 team members and are growing every day.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
We are open Monday through Friday from 7AM till 11PM. First Shift is 7:AM till 4:PM Second Shift 2:30 pm till 11:PM
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
The shop offers a large variety of specialty tools and equipment. Multiple forms of diagnostic equipment and software are needed to work on a large variety of vehicles. Our goal is to make the technician's role as efficient as possible. Technicians are required to carry the basic tool set, and if interested, we do offer an apprentice program to help young technicians get started with the tool-buying process.
What type of break room facility is provided?
The facility has an air-conditioned break room with a large eating area, a full kitchen minus the stove as well as a large training room.

How many repair orders do you average per month?
250 on average
What is your parts ordering process?
We have a very dedicated group of advisors that spend 80% of their day keeping the parts we need to keep vehicles moving on the shelf.
What is your policy on side work?
We have a large group of technicians that work on their personal vehicles, but we do try to limit vehicles being worked on in the shop to personal and immediate family members.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
We have a very communal and open line of communication, offering everyone the ability to express their thoughts and ideas to help our business grow from the inside.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We are constantly looking for ways to improve the knowledge of our techs. We offer outside training, in house training, a voluntary book club, and encourage our techs to look for their own paths forward and we will assist in most anyway necessary.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We try to promote from within and as we grow the limits to that growth is limited to the persons inner ambition.
Can you describe your performance review process?
We perform a quarterly check-in. Setting 30, 90, 6 month and even some long term goals.
What type of safety training is required?
We keep up on all OSHA requirements and our on floor shop foreman monitors and helps keep up on training as needed.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We build our staff based on the growth of the future generation our team is all about helping and training.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Our company is a family owned organization with deep roots in the central Virginia area, which maintain a high level of interaction with the community.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Currently we are growing our connections with the local schools as our size grows.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes we do
What do your in-person interviews entail?
There are usually two participants from the organization in the room in which we ask a series of questions constructed to give us the best interpretation of the interviewees personality and skill set.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Pre-employment drug screens and driver license checks before hiring.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
We ask each participant to perform a personality assessment prior to employment.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Withing 24 to 48 hours contingent on driver and drug screen checks.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
If accepted usually 3 to 5 business days dependent of screening results.
Technician
Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $120,000.00/year
We offer a competitive hourly wage in conjunction with an efficiency bonus structure. Hourly rate will be based on skill set and certifications
