Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Our shop is air conditioned and warmed by the SFL sun.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

Our teams are built of 4-5 technicians.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

7:30AM to 6PM Monday - Friday every other Saturday 8AM to 5PM.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Tool boxes, special tools, latest technical equipment.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Lunchroom, cafeteria with vending machines & management supplies lunches every Saturday.

How many bays does your shop have?

Our shop has over 40 air-conditioned bays.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

3,000 repair orders per month on average.

What is your parts ordering process?

Special order parts through the dedicated parts department for both service and body shop with Lexus trained staff.

What is your policy on side work?

No side work is allowed. Employees with proper permission are allowed to work on their cars after all customer work is done or on personal time.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Yes, we focus on getting our technicians Lexus Trained and Certified. We also pay for all ASE registration cost and fees. Automatic increase for ASE certifications.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

Our company promotes from within; you can start from a porter and work your way up to management positions. Here we truly believe that sky is the limit. Every manager and supervisor has come up through the ranks.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We do evaluations every 6 months to a year based on performance and added certifications.

What type of safety training is required?

KPA in-house training provided. Hybrid and Electric training by manufacture is also provided.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Younger trainees are placed with an A or B Technician and are reviewed every 3 months with a pay increases when merited.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We attend high schools and technical colleges to meet students and share great opportunities. We also get involved in our community by being a part of many fundraisers across Miami Dade & Broward County. We are the leading Donor for Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We visit schools and speak to students on great opportunities, we invite them to our shop/store and we encourage students to focus on their automotive careers.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Fortunate to have an amazing branch with incredible leadership from management, owner and corporate office. We will continue to grow and expand.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

Yes, we do have an application and it could possibly takes 20 minutes (depending on the internet that day).

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes, we phone screen applicants prior to face to face interviews to rule out basic position requirements.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

A warm welcome, a conversational interview with our HR team member, following a more detail interview with the hiring manager. Be ready!!!

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We do perform background checks and drug screening along with MVR checks.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Based on the position specific questions may be asked by the experts.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

Approximately 24-48 hours.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

From the moment an application is submitted and the offer is accepted to the results of the pre-hire process can take from 5 to 7 days.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $170,000.00/year

Technicians are paid on a weekly basis based on their flat rate hours. Flat Rate = compensation on work performed rather than by the hour.

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $130,000.00/year

Technicians are paid on a weekly basis based on their flat rate hours. Flat Rate = compensation on work performed rather than by the hour.

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.
Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $120,000.00/year

Technicians are paid on a weekly basis based on their flat rate hours. Flat Rate = compensation on work performed rather than by the hour.

Lube Technician
Lube Technicians are entry level technicians that focus on routine maintenance such as oil changes, changing tires, and inspections.
Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00/hour

Lube Techs. Are paid hourly with a production incentive. As a Lube Technician gains knowledge and experience, they can earn more hourly wages and incentives.

Service Advisor
Service Advisors are primarily customer focused and, as one of the faces of the shop, they are critical in keeping customers happy. Service Advisors are frequently focused on taking customer calls, relaying information to technicians, and selling repair jobs. Both technical and sales experience are helpful for this position.
Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $160,000.00/year

Service Advisors are compensated for exceptional customer service as well as advising customers on needed repairs and maintenance items.

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00/hour

Student Techs/Apprentices are paid hourly with a production incentive. As a Student Tech/Apprentice gains knowledge and experience, they can earn more hourly wages and incentives.

Collision Technician - A Level Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00/hour

Collision Technicians are compensated on produced hours.(Flat Rate)

Collision Technician - B Level Pay Range: $18.00 - $23.00/hour

Collision Technicians are compensated on produced hours.(Flat Rate)

Collision Painter Pay Range: $18.00 - $24.00/hour

Collision Painters are compensated on produced hours.(Flat Rate)

Collision Prepper Pay Range: $16.00 - $19.00/year

Collision Prepper are compensated on produced hours.(Flat Rate)

Health Insurance Offered
Our medical plan is currently with CIGNA and there are three different plans to choose. Employees just pay a portion of the cost.
Dental Insurance Offered
We offer dental DHMO and PPO plan to all our employees thru CIGNA.
Vision Insurance Offered
The vision plan is with Mutual of Omaha.
Retirement Plan Offered
We offer retirement plan thru John Hancock with company participation.
Sick Leave Offered
We offer medical leave (FMLA) and personal leave up to three months. You will accrue 1 sick/personal day at the beginning of every quarter.
Vacation Offered
Your first year of vacation is prorated; we accrue the first calendar year (for example: if you are hired in March, you accrue from March to December, to be used in your 1 year anniversary). The following year after January 1st the employee will have two weeks of paid vacations. January 1st of your seventh year anniversary, you automatically receive three weeks of paid vacations. January 1st of your twentieth year anniversary, you automatically receive four weeks of paid vacations.

You will have four paid holidays: July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

We do have uniforms for all our technicians and we do have Polos for our Service Advisors. We also provide uniform service.

You are eligible to enroll in all benefits first of the month after 60 days of employment, with the exception of 401k that will be introduced after 1 year of employment.
