Kalispell Auto group is a locally owned dealership that began in 2007 in Kalispell, MT with the purchase of Kalispell Toyota. We have since grown to include Kalispell Ford and Kalispell Volkswagen locations! Our shop is heated and comfortable with fans in the summer

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We currently have a team of 14 technicians

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday-Friday: 7:00am - 6:00pm Saturday: 8:00am - 5:00pm Sunday: Closed

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Technicians are required to bring their own tools

What type of break room facility is provided?

Comfortable break room with heat and AC, also including a refrigerator and microwave

How many bays does your shop have?

12 Mechanical bays 3 Express bays

How many repair orders do you average per month?

2,500

What is your parts ordering process?

The Parts Department and Service Advisors handle all parts ordering, as well as accessories, as this is also common at Kalispell Toyota.

What is your policy on side work?

Side work is not allowed but you may work on your personal vehicle after hours and on Saturdays

We value working together as a team and keeping the same small town feel in our dealership!

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We cover the cost of all Toyota instructor led training and ASE testing

Can you describe your performance review process?

We complete daily hour tracking for all flat rate technicians as well as monthly reviews

What type of safety training is required?

Hazardous material training is required, which is provided by the dealership

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We have incentives for our Master Technicians to train Apprentice Technicians. Together we will set and continually improve service and operational standards

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Kalispell Toyota is actively involved in many community events as the support of our communities are what provides our success!

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We have a relationship with both of the local high schools to aid in curriculum. We value all ongoing education and providing opportunity for growth in your personal and professional life

Where do you see the shop in five years?

With our area growing at a rapid pace, we see ourselves in a new shop and dealership. We believe in not accepting the status quo and strive for constant improvement!

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

Yes, we have an online application that usually takes less than 15 minutes to complete

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes, we complete a 15-20 minute phone interview with our hiring department prior to inviting applicants to an in person interview

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Traditional question and answer style interviews with our recruitment manager and service management

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We conduct both a background check and drug screening prior to employment

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

Offers and rejections are usually made within a week from your final interview

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Depending on position, number and quality of applicants, our process usually takes about 1-2 weeks for an offer to be made

A Level Technician Pay Range: $96,000 - $120,000/year ($46.15 - $57.69/hr)

C Level Technician Pay Range: $48,000 - $72,000/year ($23.08 - $34.62/hr)

Lube Technician Pay Range: $40,000 - $45,000/year ($19.23 - $21.63/hr)

Service Advisor Pay Range: $58,000 - $80,000/year

Commision only in fast paced and highly productive shop; please contact us for more detailed information

Student Tech / Apprentice Pay Range: $0 - $0/hour

We welcome student apprentices to work with us and learn under technicians!

Health Insurance Offered: Health insurance is offered after 60 days of employment
Dental Insurance Offered: Dental insurance is offered after 60 days of employment
Vision Insurance Offered: Vision insurance is offered after 60 days of employment
Retirement Plan Offered: 401K coordination and matching
Sick Leave Offered: After 30 days of employment, full-time regular employees are eligible for 40 hours of sick time for their first year. After one year of service, employees are eligible for 72 hours of sick time per year.
Vacation Offered: After 1 year : 40 hours After 2 years : 80 hours After 10 years : 120 hours
Paid Holidays Offered: Paid Holidays are offered after 6 month probationary period is satisfied
ST / LT Disability Offered: Disability is offered after 60 days of employment
