Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Radiant heat, which keeps objects warm in turn helps keep shop warm even when the doors cycle open and closed Air conditioning coming very soon.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

8 Line technicians 2 Lube technicians 3 Service advisors 2 parts advisors

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

M- F 7:30am-5:30pm Saturdays are variable every other.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Most factory-required specialty tools are supplied, scan tools, etc.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Breakroom with soda and candy machines. Refrigerators and microwave in a small kitchenette

How many bays does your shop have?

17 bays

How many repair orders do you average per month?

600

What is your parts ordering process?

All technicians are provided with a laptop, and all parts are requested through them on our DMS system.

What is your policy on side work?

No side work. The shop is available to work on personal vehicles only

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

Clean, well-lit shop with a good ventilation system when doors are closed or open. Friendly atmosphere

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Paid Factory training is available and required.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We encourage, hope, and provide needed training to develop all of our line technicians into level 3 technicians

Performance is reviewed on a monthly basis

What type of safety training is required?

Annual safety training is provided

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We currently have a 1st-year light duty diesel tech school intern working with one of our 25+ year lead technicians. We also have a 2-year tech school graduate working with another 38+ year lead technician.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Our dealership sponsors many many activities throughout the community and surrounding towns ex. Sporting events, and car shows, we are the main sponsor of our local 4-day National rodeo with dealership participation in the annual rodeo parade, chili cookoff, golfing etc.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Our shop annually meets with local tech schools and high school

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

We are a city with a small-town atmosphere.

Yes

What do your in-person interviews entail?

We interview candidates individually and give them a tour of the shop.

No

No. We review job history, training, certification, etc.

Within three to seven days of the interview.

Service technician Pay Range: $20.00 - $40.00/hour

Pay is based on experience. Flat rate hourly pay with a tiered plan based on hours produced. $2000 sign on bonus
