Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

We have a pleasant work environment, well ventilated, heated, and air conditioned.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We are a team of 45-55 automotive professionals.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We work one shift presently, M-F 08:00-4:30pm, alternating Saturdays as needed.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

CDJR special tools, compressors, jacks, jump boxes, vehicle hoists, jumper cables, tow rope, transmission jacks, EV battery cradles, engine hoists, engine stands, shop press, parts washer, on car brake lathe, fluid collection

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a break and training room. Clean and comfortable with shared fridge, coffee carafe, sink, microwave, etc.

How many bays does your shop have?

20 bays

How many repair orders do you average per month?

1180-1450

What is your parts ordering process?

Parts counter with 2 dealers of inventory, Will call PDC, regular, and emergency delivery, route pickup from other dealers, aftermarket suppliers.

What is your policy on side work?

We do not allow side work, but offer employee discounts on employee owned vehicles.

Well lit, clean, pleasant work environment.

We offer comprehensive career development. The latest training from Stellantis on EV technology, ongoing OEM training both on site and classroom setting.

Generally on a case by case basis, reviews happen yearly to discuss progress, and to determine future pay rates.

What type of safety training is required?

Sexual harassment, workplace conduct, NY EEOH

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

The technicians hand down knowledge based on your participation and willingness to learn.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We participate in food drives, toy drives, lend our time to local charities. We donate to special events to benefit the community.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We look towards our VOTEC programs, technology classes, and local high schools to encourage success and training in the business.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

We are in a growing area, the shop will continue to thrive and will remain a premiere business in the industry.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We have an application for employment form, and happily accept resumes of work history, education, etc.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes, Usually we will have a brief discussion to answer any initial questions.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Conversations in regards to past employment, work style, relative training, and experience. Available schedules.

If you are applying to this position we may perform background checks, driver's license abstract, initial drug screening may occur.

We do not offer a skills assessment, your work experience and honesty are paramount at determining your skill level.

We would like to make a decision on the spot for qualified candidates.

Timelines vary, but we would like to make the hiring and onboarding process as seamless and timely as possible for both parties.

Student Tech / Apprentice Pay Range: $16.00 - $16.00/hour

A Level Technician Pay Range: $32.50 - $45.00/hour

Flat rate pay plans, we offer a guarantee, and production bonus

B Level Technician Pay Range: $25.00 - $32.50/hour

Flat rate pay plans, we offer a guarantee, and production bonus

C Level Technician Pay Range: $17.50 - $25.00/hour

Hourly and flat rate pay plans, we offer a guarantee, and production bonus

Lube Technician Pay Range: $16.00 - $17.50/hour
