5 Field Service Technicians, a Lead Service Engineer, and a Maintenance Manager within the greater Engineering and Maintenance Department

Working field service hours are customer need dependent
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
All tooling outside of basic hand tools are provided by Highland

We do not have a break room, as technicians work entirely out in the field.
How many bays does your shop have?
We do not have bays, as technicians work entirely out in the field.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
The maintenance team averages 400-500 work orders
What is your parts ordering process?
Field Service Technicians are responsible for parts ordering through EAM platform, escalations are sent to Maintenance Manager
What is your policy on side work?
Outside of Highland Electric Fleets customer base and competitor base, side work can be approved by the Maintenance Manager
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
This is a Field Service Technician position that requires flexibility and regional travel

OEM web based, in person training, CDL, and ASE training pathing are provided

Can you describe your performance review process?
Annual performance review occurs at the end of each calendar year in December and is paid out in February of the following year
What type of safety training is required?
Applicable vehicle high voltage safety training is provided along with personal protective equipement

Field Service Technicians work independently and partner with peers to improve bus up time
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Highland Electric Fleets is committed to supporting the communities they work in and have yearly team volunteer days
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
School partnership program in development
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Yes, the phone screen is 15 minutes before moving to a virtual 30-45 minute interview with the Hiring Manager
What do your in-person interviews entail?
The virtual Hiring Manager interview includes review of experience, technical skills, job expectations, career growth and area customer base

Updates are provided within 3-5 days following a virtual interview
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
The hiring process should take 2-3 weeks for the phone screen, hiring manager interview and one additional team interview.

Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00/year
Salary is based on experience, certifications, and area of responsibility
