Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

The shops have heaters and water cooling fans.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We are a smaller family based repair shop and would be working with a 10 person team.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We are open M-F 8-5 and are off 12-1 for lunch.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have top level OEM diagnostics including a Snap on Zues workstation, multiple Autel scanners and ADAS relearn capabilities, Hunter alignment machine, cnc plasma table and just about every heavy duty oem program. We handle in house module programming and calibrations.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a full kitchen/ break room and fridge for preparing meals and taking breaks.

How many bays does your shop have?

We have 8 bays between the two shops.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

150-200

What is your parts ordering process?

We have a dedicated employee to order, return and deliver parts.

What is your policy on side work?

We do not currently have one at this time. As long as it does not affect work performance.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We are one of the most technically advanced shops in town. We like to try and keep everything we can in house to better service our customers. Sky is the limit as we provide great opportunities to better yourself and advance in this line of work.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer paid training provided by local seminars.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We provide many tools to learn and grow from. Showing us what you can do with a good attitude is a tremendous way to grow a long term partnership and acceptance into our family!!

Can you describe your performance review process?

We have quality control checks frequently on vehicles to help serve our customers and make sure they are getting the best that we can provide.

What type of safety training is required?

We have a employee handbook that must be filled out and returned that lists many safety requirements. When hired, we go through and list safety exits, proper PPE while working and fire extinguisher locations.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Everyone in the shop always tries to lend a helping hand and teach as one goes to help each other learn.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We are extremely involved in our community as we participate in many local events and help donate where we can!

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Not at this time.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes, if no contact has been previously made then we review the application and determine how the interview should proceed.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

We usually ask questions about the knowledge, pay needed and structure of the tech and how they would fit in with our group.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We have to clear the applicant with our insurance before they can test drive vehicles. That is all at this time.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

Yes, we questions techs on certain scenarios and how they would proceed in the repair to make sure they have basic knowledge of the field.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

With in a couple of days we can submit either option.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

With in a couple of days.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?

We are open to hearing out the applicants needs and wants to help them feel welcomed into our shop!

A Level Technician Pay Range: $15.00 - $50.00/hour

Pay is reflected on experience, knowledge and tool base.

B Level Technician Pay Range: $15.00 - $35.00/hour

Pay is reflected on experience, knowledge and tool base.

C Level Technician Pay Range: $15.00 - $25.00/hour

Pay is reflected on experience, knowledge and tool base.
