What is your parts ordering process?

We use a multi-point system called My Kaarma. Parts are ordered through that system and are received as soon as possible for technicians to finish repairs

Side work is not allowed

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer Ford web-based training and send techs to Ford school. All trainings are paid for by the dealership

We offer growth potential with certifications for technicians. If techs want to work into other positions like service manager or manager positions we help put them on career paths

Can you describe your performance review process?

The service manager performs yearly reviews. We review the metrics from the prior year. What's the technicians performing strongly at, where could they improve. Finally, what's their attitude like.

What type of safety training is required?

Monthly safety meetings and yearly web-based safety courses.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We offer an in-shop mentor program. We pair up experienced techs with our junior techs to answer questions and help with repairs when time permits

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Our corporate handles all community outreach.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We go to trade schools, high schools on career days and explain why careers in our industry can be a long-term career paths

Interviews are done by the service manager and the shop foreman. Interview includes a shop tour, discussions with other techs to see if we're a fit for them and them for us. We also like to discuss what the candidates goals are in our industry
