Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
The shop is heated, however it doed not have AC. Instead, each area has a 20-foot Big Ass Fan and each lift has a barn fan. Cold drinks on ice provided for hot days.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
6 techs and 6 support staff
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
6am - 7pm 4-10 hour days with flexible hours
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have a variety of community tools.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Full break room with fridge, 2 microwaves, comfortable seating/tables, water cooler. We buy lunch every Saturday for anyone who works that day.
How many bays does your shop have?

How many repair orders do you average per month?
We have never run out of work. Or at least have not in 12 years.
What is your parts ordering process?
We use rapid recon and stock very little but have parts houses on hot shot for us all day. We have a unique process that keeps you from wasting time waiting for parts.
What is your policy on side work?
Just ask we will rarely, if ever, say no.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Yes, we offer various skills and training opportunities depending on the Tech and the current level of experience.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We encourage technicians to better themselves through furthering their education or talking with other technicians.
Can you describe your performance review process?
We coach in real time of what's needed and meet quarterly to review the previous 3 months.
What type of safety training is required?
We provide as needed.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We have a shop that works well together. We have only top tier technicians based on our unique workload.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Yes, we are part of the Chamber of Commerce and Toys for Tots amongst others.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We do not. We do 90% complex problem-solving jobs in our shop. We only recondition cars to sell, after sale repairs and warranty work. No customer pay retail work. This location does recon for our 2 IL stores.

A Level / Journeyman Technician
Pay Range: $40.00 - $55.00/hour
Sliding scale of booked hours. 1-60 hours $40 to $55 retro. $3300 for a 60 hour booked week.
