The shop is heated and cooled.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

6 main shop technicians, 1 recon technician, and 4 express technicians.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

We are open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. We rotate on Saturdays.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Special Service Tools that are required for specific Hyundai recalls, service campaigns, and technical service bulletins, and a toolbox is also provided.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Standard break room off the shop with a drink machine, snack machine, microwave, TV, and refrigerator.

How many bays does your shop have?

There are a total of fourteen bays.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

The average number of repair orders is approximately 1,000.

What is your parts ordering process?

Anything special orders are handled by one of our parts professionals, and we use an auto-generated system for our stock orders.

What is your policy on side work?

It cannot be performed outside of business hours and not from any of our customers.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Hyundai provides numerous training opportunities, including in-person and virtual sessions. The cost of training is fully covered for technicians, and if a technician decides to pursue ASE certification, we will cover the testing expenses as well.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We are a fast-growing auto group with 18 dealerships spanning from South Carolina to North Carolina, and we are continuously expanding. We are always seeking individuals to advance within our organization.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We conduct annual performance reviews at the beginning of each new year. These reviews begin with employees grading themselves on basic criteria such as punctuality, attendance, and teamwork. Following this self-assessment, the employees' supervisors will provide their own ratings and discuss any discrepancies or coaching opportunities to help them grow as leaders.

What type of safety training is required?

Standard KPA, Osha training.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We typically work with an apprentice to shadow and learn from the mentor, allowing the mentor to coach and manage as they see fit in order to develop our future technicians.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Every year, we hold a fundraiser for a local charity or foundation.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We always participate in our local community college's automotive program, whether it's by donating equipment, vehicles, or parts.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes, we do.

Getting to know the candidate, learning about their attributes and skill level.

We conduct a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle report screening.

Expirenced Technician Pay Range: $52,000.00 - $100,000.00/year

The salary range depends entirely on the candidate's level of experience and self-motivation. This is a production-based position.

Entry level Technician Pay Range: $15.00 - $17.00/hour

The salary range depends entirely on the candidate's level of experience.

Experienced Service Advisor Pay Range: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00/year

The salary range is determined based on the candidate's level of experience and self-motivation. This position is production-based.
