Under The Hood

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

The Shop is heated and we have brand new coolers.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

There are 30 members in the team between parts and service.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Monday thru Friday 7am - 6pm Saturday 8am - 3pm Schedules vary depending on the position, technicians always work a 5 day work week and 1 Saturday every 3 weeks.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

GM specialty tools that are organized in a tool room. MDI2's and Tech 2's. Every bay has their own computer.

What type of break room facility is provided?

The break room has a microwave, small oven, full size refrigerator, coffee machine and a drink vending machine.

How many bays does your shop have?

40, including detail and wash bays.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

2022 - we have averaged 1000 per month.

What is your parts ordering process?

We use X-Time to help expedite the parts ordering process.

What is your policy on side work?

Has to be pre-approved by Service Director.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We pride ourselves in keeping up with the latest technology. Training is available for the individual that shows they want to advance and ultimately become a Master Certified Technician.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

GM tech training is 100% paid Coulter Cadillac and I reimburse the technician for ASE's once they pass.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Performance reviews are a continuous process, we monitor performance on a daily basis.

What type of safety training is required?

Safety training is a daily occurrence, working in an environment that could potentially harm someone safety is our number one priority!

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

Young techs will work with a mentor before they move on to the next level. I believe every mentor has the skill set the young techs can learn from.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Throughout the year we get involved with different charities.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We currently work with our local UTI tech school.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Stronger than ever, I believe our best days are ahead of us!

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We do require an application to be filled out, it takes about 15-20 minutes

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

I do, I like to see if they could potentially be a good fit before we set an in person interview.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Going over all aspects of the position and expectations. I leave plenty of time for the potential employee to ask questions.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We do background checks, driving record and drug screening.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

A Level Technician Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $140,000.00/year

You must be clean and neat, have a clean driving record and a valid Arizona drivers license. You must have reliable transportation. We are looking for individuals who have a good, reliable work ethic and a willingness to learn. We offer training and great growth opportunities. Pay is based on skill level. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 7:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday 8:00am to 3:00pm. Those of you looking to make some money will fit in our high production shop.
