What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
8:00am-5:00pm (Mainline techs off on Saturday) Maintenance Techs have a Saturday rotation
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
All major diagnostic equipment, and manufacturer equipment, as well as major equipment
What type of break room facility is provided?
Fridge, Microwave, Table, Chairs, Coffee Maker, TV, Vending Machine

What is your parts ordering process?
Techs order their own parts and send to the parts department. We have a good supply of inventoried parts on hand, but ordered parts will be received as soon as possible to complete repairs
What is your policy on side work?
Open RO, parts must be purchased through the parts department, and approved by a manager
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Everything is based on GM factory training. This includes web-based and hands-on training. Techs are paid or reimbursed for any travel and time
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
Opportunities are endless for the right employee. We will try and work our techs up in regards to their skill sets, but we also will help them evolve into different positions if that's their goal
Can you describe your performance review process?
No formal performance reviews. We do try and talk with techs once a year. Discussion includes what they need in training, and if there is any desire to move up in the company. If so, we help lay out a career path
What type of safety training is required?
Once every quarter, OSHA compliance training, keep up to date on new things that come out
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Senior techs will mentor junior techs. They will be available to answer questions, and help through repairs when time permits
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We participate in multiple different charities and events
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Have some level of sponsorship to the majority of schools in the area. School donations
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
We provide a light phone screen. We make sure the candidate understands the position, and the qualifications for the position. We also like to assess skill sets, goals, and make sure everything aligns
What do your in-person interviews entail?
It's a lot like our phone screens but just a little bit of a deeper dive into each subject

We do perform background checks, and drug screens

No formal skill assessment. Skill assessment is done through the interview process

Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.00/hour
Can be an hourly paid position, or flagged time position, pay will be based on background, skill set, and certifications
Transmission Technician
Pay Range: $32.00 - $45.00/hour
Flagged hours based on background, skill set, and certifications
Engine Technician
Pay Range: $32.00 - $45.00/hour
