Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
All of our shops are air conditioned.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
Depending on the store, but all our shop ranges from 10 technicians per shop to 40 technicians per shop
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
The shop hour is 7:30am to 4:30pm. Technicians are more than welcome to come in early or stay late in order to finish work.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We supply all required equipment and special tools. Some of our shops have built in toolboxes.
What type of break room facility is provided?
All shops are provided with a lunchroom with microwave and refrigerator.
How many bays does your shop have?
We have 7 shops with a total of 100 bays.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
Varies depending on store.
What is your parts ordering process?
We keep an inventory of commonly needed parts, along with a network of local shops and auto parts shops where parts can be ordered and even delivered the same day.
What is your policy on side work?
Technicians are not allowed to perform side work in any of our shops. Technicians are allowed to work on their personal vehicle after hours.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Yes, we encourage our technicians to advance their education and skill set. We're willing to help anywhere we can
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
All open positions are posted internally and we encourage hiring from within the company. We can help set up a career path to fulfill technician's career goals
Can you describe your performance review process?
Initial after 90 days and ongoing. Discussions will include, numbers, likes, dislikes, trainings, and anything else the employee would like to cover
What type of safety training is required?
Our safety training is facilitated by KPA.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We have an Apprentice Technician program. Experienced techs will be available to answer questions, and work side-by-side through repairs when time permits
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Braman Motorcars works with many local charities as well as the school district's teacher of the year.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We visit schools that have automotive technician courses and encourage students to apply at Braman Motorcars.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
We do have a process for Zoom interviews, pre-screening on phone, etc.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Filling out application, prescreening for minimal essential training, schooling, etc., then interview with the hiring manager/director as well as a tour of the facility.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Yes.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
No. Skill assessment is done through the interview process
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Varies based on position open and number of qualified candidates.

Technician
Pay Range: $30.00 - $75.00/hour
Flat rate based on the technician's background, certifications, and skill set
Service Advisor
Pay Range: $125,000.00 - $200,000.00/year
Commission-based with bi-weekly draw

- Braman Motorcars offers participation in the dealership's 401(k) plan with Voya. Eligibility to participate after 60 days of employment, along with 21 years of age or older.
- Sick Leave Offered
- Braman Motorcars offers paid PTO that is accrued on a semi-annual basis for all full time employees.
- Vacation Offered
- Braman Motorcars offers paid vacation to all full time employees. Paid vacation is as follows: - After 1 year of employment - 1 week - 2 - 6 years of employment - 2 weeks - 7+ years of employment - 3 weeks
- Paid Holidays Offered
- Braman Motorcars offers 5 paid holidays per year. Employees must be full time and have worked at the dealership for a minimum of 90 days.
- ST / LT Disability Offered
- Braman Motorcars offers supplemental Short and Long Term Disability plans. Eligibility after 60 days of employment.
- Life Insurance Offered
- Braman Motorcars offers a FREE $10,000 Life Insurance policy for all full time employees. Employees have the option to purchase additional life insurance at the time of eligibility (60 days from date of hire).
- Uniforms Offered
- Technicians receive 13 sets of uniforms with the option to have them cleaned by the uniform company on a weekly basis or take home.
- Other Offered
- Braman Motorcars has specific sign on bonus plans for Technicians, as well as potential relocation assistance for candidates moving to the South Florida area. Other supplemental insurance is offered after 60 days of employment to include: - Accident - Hospital Indemnity - Critical Illness - Long Term Care - Identity Theft Insurance
