What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
Fixed operation team consists of approximately 130+ team members. Technicians are assigned to teams that have opposing strengths and weaknesses and typically comprise of approximately 4-6 members with a team lead.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
We offer several different shift options, 7-4, 8-5 and 9-6 in main service and our Quick Lane has shift from 7-4, 8-5 and 10-7 Main Service 7-7 M-F 8-4 Saturday Quick Lane 7-8 M-F 7-7 Sat 9-5 Sun
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
Tire service equipment, alignment machines, power-train lifts, A/C machines, specialty tools, flush machines, hydraulic press, IDS/computers/diagnostic, parts washers, welder's, brake service machines, vacuums, pressure washers, etc....
What type of break room facility is provided?
Three large break rooms equipped with sinks, microwaves, refrigerators, snack machines, drink machines, water fountains and seating for large groups.
How many bays does your shop have?
91+ Climate controlleds bays
How many repair orders do you average per month?
Currently 4800-5200
What is your parts ordering process?
Emergency order basis if the vehicle stays, and regular order if the vehicle is picked up, ordering done by Technician
What is your policy on side work?
We encourage our technicians to work on their personal and family members vehicles after normal business hours. Additional work outside of family members can be done with management approval.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
On site daycare facility available to team members and a Ford's Garage Restaurant
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Yes, on-line and in-class room training through Ford Motor Company. We also have a technician development program (TDP) for employees and applicants that are currently working in our Quick Lane or attending a qualified technical school. Our TDP program is approximately 8 months of hands on, computer and on line training the we offer in house in order to train new technicians.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We pride ourselves in hiring and promoting from within whenever possible. Many of our technician team leads have gone through our Quick Lane, TDP and main shop. Our shop foreman is a local J-Tech graduate (local technical school), who started as an apprentice technician and eventually worked his way to a team lead before be promoted to shop foreman. We also offer a Leadership Academy, that provides professional leadership instruction and coaching. This program is a 6 month commitment that involves reading material and multiple coaching sessions through the Ford Customer Experience Program. This program is designed to help and promote new leaders, develop leadership skills and help candidates grow in their career.
Can you describe your performance review process?
We base our quarterly performance reviews on character, production, training achievements and work quality.
What type of safety training is required?
We conduct our own in house safety training monthly based of OSHA requirements
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We have an exclusive in house training program (TDP-tech development program) that is run by a Ford senior master technician that has an extensive training background to include working at J Tech (a local technical school) as an instructor and curriculum coordinator. In addition, many of our senior team leads also coach and train through our apprenticeship program after TDP.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Bozard has been a community leader for over 70 years serving St. Augustine and North Florida. We give back by supporting the endeavors of our associates to make our neighborhoods, schools and communities a better place for all. Our community involvement and sponsorship budget are prioritized to the passions and interests of our employees.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Yes, we participate in career fairs with our local community college and tech schools. We also invite candidates to our facility for tours and work directly with school leadership to create a career path for young adults.

Yes, we are able to conduct phone and zoom screen interviews especially if you are out of state or a long distance away.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Relaxed interview where we have the opportunity to get to know the applicant and they can get to know us. We also enjoy taking our applicants on a tour of the facility as well

Yes, we perform a drug screen and background check.

A Level Technician
Pay Range: $35,000.00 - $200,000.00/year
We offer flat rate, salary and hourly pay plans, as well as a technician longevity bonus. The longevity bonus is calculated based on the amount of hours turned and years consecutively employed at Bozard Ford Lincoln. Calculations are from July 1st through June 30, paid out in November at the Longevity dinner. You must still be employed in November to receive the bonus. 3 years $.75 x hours turned for the year 5 years $1.00 x hours turned for the year 10 years $1.50 x hours turned for the year 20 years $2.00 x hours turned for the year
B Level Technician
Pay Range: $35,000.00 - $85,000.00/year
