NO WEEKENDS!!!!

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We offer both online and in person training/continuing education opportunities. Our training center is located in Jacksonville, Florida.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

There is always room for growth in our department. We have even seen someone go from car washer to sales manager! Dedicated workers are what makes this dealership run well and we recognize that.

Can you describe your performance review process?

Once a year we conduct an individual interview with each technician that includes the Service Manager and Fixed Operations Director.

What type of safety training is required?

OSHA Safety Training is required and done through Crandall online.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

One of our senior technicians is assigned to mentor the new hire technician for an allotted amount of time, based on the new hires experience. How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Being involved in our local community is important to us. We participate in food drives for the Good Shepard House multiple times a year, on-site blood drives, Toys for Tots, Adopt-A-Highway, and a ServeTeam that consists of employees that volunteer to go out to different facilities varying from food banks, urban gardens, diaper banks, etc. With COVID restrictions loosening on volunteer work we are currently looking into more opportunities.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We work closely with Cape Fear Community College's automotive program and recently received an award for our newest apprenticeship. We also work with the Mercedes Drive program as well, which is a training program through MBUSA.

Where do you see the shop in five years?

With the rapid growth in our area and surrounding areas as well, our customer base is expanding greatly. In the next 5 years we would like to have expanded into a bigger and upgraded facility.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

Our application form takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

Yes.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

In person interviews consist of a meeting with our service manager followed by being introduced to the shop foreman. Next, a facility tour is conducted to show the potential new hire around and give them a feel for what working here is like with what they see along the way/

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Background checks and drug screenings are required before being fully hired.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

No a skill assessment is not performed prior to hiring an applicant.

Service Advisor Pay Range: $37,000.00 - $100,000.00/year

- Commission based on 3 categories 1. group gross labor X % 2. individual gross labor X % 3. individual CSI scores

Lube Technician Pay Range: $36,000.00 - $50,000.00/year

Entry level position

A Level Technician Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $150,000.00/year

Master Certification (Flat Rate with Bumps) 50 hours = $1.00 bump 60 hours = $1.50 bump 65 hours = $2.00 bump 70 hours = $2.50 bump 75 hours = $3.00 bump

C Level Technician Pay Range: $36,000.00 - $125,000.00/year

Flat rate (Flat Rate with Bumps) 50 hours = $1.00 bump 60 hours = $1.50 bump 65 hours = $2.00 bump 70 hours = $2.50 bump 75 hours = $3.00 bump
