The workshops are heated and have air conditioning.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

1 Fixed Operations Director, 2 Service Directors, 9 Service Advisors, 19 Technicians, 6 Lube Technicians.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

8am - 6pm (Sunday - Friday); 9am - 2pm (Saturday). Top performers can currently complete 70+ hours per week. We offer 5-day work weeks, with 5 - 6 on-schedule rotating Saturdays.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Workspaces with storage, 4 On-Car brake lathes, 5 Hunter Alignment machines, 4 Hunter Tire Mounting/Bounding machines, Moc Mid Atlantic Fluid Service machines, 2 In-Lane Tire Spec and Quick Aligner, 4 Hunter Road Force Elite Balancers, Special/Miscellaneous tool room.

What type of break room facility is provided?

Typical break room setting with tables, chairs, and options for refreshments.

How many bays does your shop have?

44, 40 with lifts and 4 flat bays.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We currently average 1000+ Repair Orders per month.

What is your parts ordering process?

Our dealership typically operates by ordering from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for each of our brands.

What is your policy on side work?

It is not recommended in the aspect of affecting the current responsibilities of the service center.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Yes, employees have the opportunity to take training and courses to further their certifications.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

In terms of vehicle service, employees can increase their pay and become promoted via obtaining certifications and experience.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We formally assess an employee's work performance in terms of the position they were hired for.

What type of safety training is required?

Use of heavy equipment, power tools, workplace safety, and general training that typically takes place in terms of general vehicle maintenance.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

The younger tech/intern/apprentice would go through entry-level training as well as watch and work with the experienced techs. Training and courses for advancement and different certifications are administered later on.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We are heavily engaged with our community, in which we formulate and support campaigns, events, etc.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Our service department hires interns and students through employment and educational programs.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

No.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Personality gauge, along with general exchange of information from employer to employee.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

Yes.

Yes, but in the sense of solidifying that one will likely not ignorantly hurt themselves or others.

Service Technician (All Levels) Pay Range: $12.00 - $38.00/hour

Our compensation packages are dependent on skill & qualifications, a top-level tech can earn upwards of $38 / FRH
