Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

The shop is heated with 4 zones. We have central A/C unit for all portions of the shop. Comfort is essential for the team.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We have 5-7 technicians, 3 shop assistants, one administrative assistant, and a parts manager.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Hours are Monday-Friday 7:45-5:00 NO WEEKENDS!!!!

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have special tools, factory scan tools, ultra sonic cleaner, industrial parts washer... You name it we probably have it.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a locker room, and a full conference room. We also have a full shower and 3 bathrooms.

How many bays does your shop have?

8 lifts and a Hunter alignment rack.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We are typically 2-3 weeks booked out.

What is your parts ordering process?

Communicate with Jessica our parts manager and she will get it done. Parts will be received as soon as possible.

What is your policy on side work?

After some time you will have full access to the shop to work on your own cars, as well as family members. Friends cars are a case by case basis.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We are a team. We work together. Any problem encountered is a problem the shop needs to solve. You will never be on your own with troublesome cars.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

If classes are found to be relevant, Berg will pay for the class as well as trip expenses.

The sky is the limit. If you have the skills and work ethic nothing is off the table.

Open door policy. Better not to wait.

What type of safety training is required?

This is on a case by case basis.

We are a team. Bring your "A" game and we will not let you down.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We attend meets, and get along with everyone in the car community.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We have worked with several schools and housed multiple students interested in careers in the auto or similar fields.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

We prefer to do zoom interviews.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

Tour of the shop. Face to face with the owner. Meet and greet with the staff.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We do not do any of these.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

No need. We know if you have what it takes.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

We typically would make a decision to move forward to out next interview stage in less than a week.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

If you are the correct candidate it could be as little as 2-3 days, or as long as 2 weeks depending on schedule.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?

Typical first interview is via zoom with the Founder Aaron Marshall. Next would be a zoom meeting with the staff. If the candidate is local both interviews would be in person.

B Level Technician Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00/year ($31.25 - $38.46/hr)

We typically don't look for this position... but if you are amazing at what you do but don't have a ton of time with the brands we work on this still may be the right place for you. We offer a car allowance quarterly, as well as profit sharing.

A Level Technician Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00/year

We work on a low hourly count, and a high hourly rate as the technician guides the customer through the entire process, front start to finish. This is a very rewarding process. We offer a car allowance quarterly, as well as profit sharing.

We have a very good United Health Care policy. Healthcare benefits are offered after 90 days of service, with a contribution of 50% by the company towards the premium.

Dental Insurance Offered

Dental is offered through United Concordia. The company will match 50% of your premium.

Vision is offered through United Concordia. The company will match 50% of your premium.

Retirement Plan Offered

Eligibility for 401K begins after 90 days and is matched at 4% with an employee contribution of 5%. It is a Safe Harbor match plan.

5 days per year- used when time off is needed that has been not given advance notice

Vacation Offered

Vacation policies are determined by management, and are subject to modification without notice. Renewal is from the date of hire. Vacation days do not roll over. VACATION POLICY (annual accrual) All regular full-time employees are eligible to accrue up to 5 paid vacation days during the first year of employment starting after 90 days. These paid vacation days are accrued on a pro rata basis – that is, you will accumulate one paid vacation day for each 2.4 months of uninterrupted service. After such period days accrue as follows: (5 days after 90 days of service) 10 days after 1 year of service (1 day every 1.2 months (36.5 days)) 15 days after 2 years of service (1 day every .8 months (24.5 days)) 20 days after 5 years of service (1 day every .6 months (18.25 days))
