Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Our shop is sufficiently heated for the colder months, and each shop has large, high air moving capacity fans to keep it cool in the summer.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
The Audi team in Seattle is normally between 26-32 technicians and 6-8 Service Advisors. We have 2 Shop Foremen to support the technical staff and dispatch work.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
We are Monday-Friday 7am-5:00pm and Saturday 8am-5pm. The shifts fall within those times.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have a comprehensive collection of special factory tools that are provided. A scan tool is provided for each main shop technician.
What type of break room facility is provided?
We have a breakroom with a refrigerator, microwave, and TV.
How many bays does your shop have?
30 main shop bays.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
Roughly 1000
What is your parts ordering process?
We have a fully staffed parts department, and depending on need, parts are either ordered on a stock order or they are overnighted or sourced locally.
What is your policy on side work?
No side work in the shop.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
We are a family owned company that tries very hard to support our employees and take care of our clients.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We have an internal mentorship program for those who show the desire and ability to become factory-trained flat-rate technicians.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
Many of us in Management started working here as Customer Service Representatives and/or Lot Attendants. We look internally to fill positions before we ever look externally.
Can you describe your performance review process?
Performance is reviewed by the Shop Foremen and Service Manager.
What type of safety training is required?
This is dependent on your role and responsibilities. All training is provided as needed.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We have a four-stage / 6-month mentorship program for younger technicians who are on a pathway to becoming Journeyman Technicians.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
Our GM is on the local business board, and we volunteer in the local community as well.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We have partnered with local schools in job fairs.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
If the candidate is not able to meet with us in person initially, yes.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
They are a conversation with Management and the Shop Foreman where we learn more about the candidate and they have an opportunity to learn more about us.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
We perform background checks, driving record checks, and drug screenings for any drug not legal in Washington State.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
No, we do not.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Usually within a week.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
This is variable depending on the needs of the company at the time.

Pay Range: $21.00 - $49.00/year
Our technicians are compensated either hourly or flat-rate depending on their level.
