Yes, both heated and air conditioned
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We currently have 11 Technicians, with room for more. Three of our techs are Master Guild, including our Shop Foreman. All of our techs have multiple years working with the Audi brand.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Shop hours for Technicians are 8am - 4:30pm with the option to stay. Saturdays are rotating schedules between teams of 3-4 techs, hours are 8am - 3pm on Saturday's. Normally, one Saturday per month is required per technician.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have all kinds of tools required to perform services on Audi's ranging from basic Coolant Service tools to Specialty tools specifically made for certain models or jobs. We have a separate storage room for storing all of our tools and equipment.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Our break room is shared by all employees in the building and is equipped with amenities such as a vending machine, A/C, and a full kitchen (refrigerator, sink, etc.) for all employees to use.
How many bays does your shop have?
13 service bays as well as a Wheel Alignment machine and an area used to perform and complete New York State Inspections
How many repair orders do you average per month?
We average about 500 RO's per month
What is your parts ordering process?
Parts are ordered directly through our Parts department
What is your policy on side work?
Technicians are allowed to work on their personal vehicles with permission from the Service Manager or Shop Foreman
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Yes, we send our techs to school so they can further their career
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
Technicians are sent to school for further training, as online courses are provided by Audi
Can you describe your performance review process?
Performance reviews are roughly every 6 months
What type of safety training is required?
OSHA training
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Younger techs will shadow either the Shop Foreman or one of our Master Guild techs for a set period of time based on prior experience
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We sponsor the local little league and local charity events.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

What do your in-person interviews entail?
Applicants will interview with the Service Manager and a quick tour of the Service Department. Basic interview questions pertaining to technician background, experience, and future goals.

Shop Talk
Top Shop Challenge: Talk about some of the recent things your shop has done to help out local schools.
We participate with a local Automotive school Lincoln Tech. My GM went and spoke to the students on what it's like to work in a dealership. We also mentioned how important it is to make sure to have and keep a clean drivers license.
