Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

Definitely! Our shop is heated and air conditioned.

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We have a staff of 20 Technicians and 6 Service Advisors.

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

Our service department is opened from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm Monday thru Thursday, Fridays are 7:00 am until 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 7:30 am until 4:00 pm.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

We have all the special tools that Audi requires us to maintain. Additionally, we have a Hunter alignment machine, we have 2 Hunter tire machines and 2 balancers. We are a MA State Inspection station with all the necessary equipment. We have 3 Air Conditioning machines for the various gasses.

What type of break room facility is provided?

We have a dedicated service break room with a TV, refrigerator, microwave, vending machines and with tables & chairs.

How many bays does your shop have?

We have 24 bays in our shop.

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We write approximately 1,500 repair orders per month.

What is your parts ordering process?

We have a dedicated Parts Department for our Technicians with 3 Parts Specialists to assist all your needs.

What is your policy on side work?

You are welcome to work on your personal vehicle(s) and your family members vehicles.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

We have an extremely friendly staff who are always willing to assist with any questions or circumstances.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We currently have 3 Technicians participating in Audi's AEP program. We also utilize Audi's Instructor Lead and On-line training programs to the fullest degree.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

Audi Natick has a number of Technicians that have started with us as Apprentices and now are Audi Master Technicians.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We review our Technicians annually at a minimum.

What type of safety training is required?

We contract with a company called Ethos and they provide all our employees with periodical on-line training.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We have a team system and the team leader will mentor an apprentice until they are comfortable with a particular repair. This process will continue until the person is self-sufficient.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We have food drives several times throughout the year to support the community.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We are on the Advisory Board of 3 local schools. We attend their meetings and job fairs throughout the year.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

We conduct phone interviews for new Technicians to ensure both parties believe there is potential to move forward with the application. Depending on the circumstances, we also encourage a visit to the dealership and to speak with our current Technicians to again eliminate any uncertainty.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

We have the applicant meet with the Service Manager and Service Director informally so everyone can evaluate the possibilities of successful employment. We also tour the shop and parts department to eliminate any surprises. The applicant will also speak with one of our current Technicians so a clear picture is available to the applicant. It's vital that the correct decision is made for both parties to prevent any failures.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

A background check is performed on the applicant. The applicant's driver's license will be evaluated; and a drug test is conducted.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

We do not perform a skills assessment test.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

After the interview, you will normally receive an answer within a week.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

The total time is usually with 2 weeks.
