The shop is heated with brand new heating units

What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

We currently have 9 technicians and 2 service advisors

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

The shop is opened Monday through Friday from 7:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. and on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday has 3 shifts either 7:30 to 4:30, 8:00 to 5:00 or 8:30 to 5:30.

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

Oil and fluid drains, flush equipment, wheel mounter and balancer, alignment machine, and specialized Audi-specific tools

What type of break room facility is provided?

Break room with refrigerator, freezer, and microwave

How many bays does your shop have?

We currently have 16 bays and are adding a 17th

How many repair orders do you average per month?

We average 600 repair orders per month

What is your parts ordering process?

Parts are all ordered through an electronic p&a system. The service advisor will always final order parts through are parts associates.

What is your policy on side work?

Side work is permitted only on either the employee's day off or after hours unless permitted by management.

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

We cover all specialized Audi training expenses, including food, room boar,d and travel costs.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We are apart of a 26 store company. We constantly are looking to move employees into higher positions up to and including management.

Can you describe your performance review process?

We perform a quarterly review process with each and everyone of our employees. We go over performance expectations to what was achieved, check to ensure the employee is comfortable and has no issues in their work environment.

What type of safety training is required?

Annual shop safety training and human resource training is required.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We have a shop foreman who will mentor and assist any technician with whatever needs they may have

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We run a program called "Blessed to Serve" where we will either help needy families or individuals with things like auto repairs, food, or community service needs.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

We do visit several local schools during career days and speak about our facility and our profession.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

We perform a phone screen before conducting in-person interviews.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

We usually perform an in-person interview with a 2 person panel. For an advisor the service manger and general manager will conduct the interview. For a technician the service manager and shop foreman will conduct the interview.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We perform background and drug screening for every employee. Service Advisors will also have to participate in a personality test.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

We do not perform a skill assessment before hiring.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

After an in-person interview, we will make an offer or rejection within 1 week

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

The full hiring process can usually take up to 2-3 weeks time

Technician Pay Range: $23.00 - $55.00/hour

Hourly rate based on factory training certification and skill level
