Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Audi Greenville shop is a fully climate controlled shop so you can maintain a comfortable working environment.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
Our service technician team consists of 16 full time Audi technicians with almost half of our technicians are fully High Voltage certified.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
We are open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday. We are closed on Sunday to spend time with family. We have shifts that start at 7:00 am, 8:00 am and 10:00 am. Each technician works a minimum of a nine hour shift five days a week. Each technician is allotted an hour lunch break.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have the most state of the art tire, balancer and alignment equipment from Hunter that helps save technician energy, prevent wheel damage on low profile rims and helps technician productivity. We have an organized tool room full of Audi specific tools to ensure techs have the right tool to fix the problem the first time.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Our breakrooms are equipped with a 65 in tv, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, sink and vending machines.
How many bays does your shop have?
We have two shops with 19 bays and two alignment bays.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
Audi Greenville serves an average of 1150 customers a month.
What is your parts ordering process?
Our Audi Greenville parts department staff are very knowledgeable and best in class when it comes to getting our technicians the parts needed to complete repairs timely. Audi provides the ability to submit an order up to 3:00 pm and get it the next day.
What is your policy on side work?
We have a non-compete policy and ask our technicians not to work on Audi vehicles outside our shop unless it's work on an immediate family member's Audi.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Audi Greenville offers on the job training using web based testing and videos. Technicians meeting the requirements have an opportunity to enroll in the Audi Education Partnership program. This program is an accelerated certification program where a technician will graduate as a Certified Expert Audi Technician.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
Audi Greenville looks to promote and fill job openings from within our current employees. From valet to service advisor, technician to shop foreman to service manager, there are endless opportunities for career growth and advancement.
Can you describe your performance review process?
We believe performance reviews happen on a daily basis. Our leadership team has an open door policy at all times and we encourage discussions at any time.
What type of safety training is required?
All employees are required to pass an annual Employee Health and Safety training.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Audi Greenville believes in building our own technicians. We have several lead technicians that are responsible for mentoring young techs and apprentice technicians. Apprentice technicians work with their mentoring tech as a shadow. In essence, the apprentice will perform the same service and repairs as the mentoring tech. We also have a dedicated shop foreman that mentors as well.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We hire students from local high schools, career centers, and local technical colleges. Audi Greenville is active in supporting Meals on Wheels, the Red Cross with onsite Blood Drives, and support many of the outreach ministries through Grace Church.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We proudly partner with local high schools and technical schools through a co-op program for select students, offering students hands-on work experience that combines classroom learning with real-world application to prepare them for future careers.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Phone calls are the first step in our interview process. If the phone screen goes well, I will arrange a face to face interview with shop tour.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
In person interviews entail of a series of questions, tour of our shop operation and introduction to our management team.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Audi Greenville does require a background check, driving record check and drug screen prior to employment.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
We do not conduct an on-site skill assessment before hiring. Instead, we rely on thorough verification of the applicant's experience and qualifications, supported by credible sources and strong references.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
This may vary based on the number in the candidate pool. Typically, a candidate can expect to receive an update 7-10 days after an in person interview.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
A candidate generally receives notification of a hiring decision approximately 14 days after submission of their application.
Audi Apprentice Technician
Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00/hour
Compensation is determined based on individual experience and tenure, with opportunities for growth and advancement through factory training recognition.

- A full time employee is eligible to receive health insurance provided by United Health Care on day 91 of employment.

- All full time employees have an option to choose Dental insurance provided by Delta Dental.

- Employees are eligible to enroll in an employer match 401k retirement saving plan through Sentry after one year of service. To receive employer matching, the employee must participate a minimum of four percent. Employer matching is 100% of 1.0%.

- All full time employees are eligible for 40 hours of paid time off after their first year anniversary. Employees receive 80 hours of paid time off after three years of service and 120 hours of paid time off after ten years of service.

- Audi Greenville observes the following five holidays: New Year's day, July 4th, Labor day, Thanksgiving day and Christmas day. These five holiday are paid holidays.

- Colonial Life provides supplemental coverages such as short term and long term disability coverages.
- Life Insurance Offered
- As a full time employee, Audi Greenville provides $15,000 of Life insurance for the employee. Additional life insurance coverage can be purchased if needed.
- Uniforms Offered
- Our technicians are required to wear Audi specific uniforms. These uniforms are provide by Cintas. Employee pay half of the weekly cost of uniforms. This charge is normally $5.50 a week.
- Other Offered
- As an Audi Greenville employee you will receive a Tenure Bonus of $100 for each year and Payout is every five years.
