Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
We offer year round climate control with heat and air conditioning.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We currently have 15 technicians and 1 shop foreman.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
We are open from 7 am to 6 pm Monday - Friday and 8 am to 4 pm on Saturday. We do offer flex scheduling.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have special tools that we provide for use. We offer built-in snap-on toolboxes for your personal tools.
What type of break room facility is provided?
We have 2 breakrooms within our facility.
How many bays does your shop have?
We currently have 16 bays with 1 of those an alignment machine. We are currently expanding our shop to add an additional 10 bays.
How many repair orders do you average per month?
We average 800 repair orders monthly.
What is your parts ordering process?
Parts are ordered once we have customer approval.
What is your policy on side work?
We allow you to work on your personal car.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We offer hands on training with continuing education with Audi.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
With the training program, you would be able to grow your knowledge and skill level to become a master technician
Can you describe your performance review process?
Performance reviews are done yearly.
What type of safety training is required?
Online safety training is required when you begin and yearly.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Technicians will work with new technicians to show them how to use our Audi systems to find repair manuals as well as hands-on training on repairs.
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We offer community service time for you to help serve within the community.
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
I reach out to local schools to seek new talent that may be upcoming with graduation.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
At times we may conduct a phone screen before an in-person interview.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
During your interview, we normally would talk about your qualifications as well as what tools you have and may need. What are your expectations?
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
A background check, drug screening, and license check are required.
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
For technicians, this is not required.
After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
Usually within 2 weeks, you will be notified of an offer or rejection letter.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
Generally, can take 30 days depending on shop needs.
Technician
Pay Range: $18.00 - $45.00/year
Pay is dependent on experience. Paid Semi-monthly. Flat rate
