Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
The shop is heat and has three of the largest porta coolers you can buy
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We have two service writers, one "A" level tech, one "B" level tech, and one "C" level tech. There's also the owner who has 35 yrs of experience and is always willing to listen and help
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Our shop hours are Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm Closed on Saturday and Sunday All holidays we are close are also paid days off
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have two 10k lifts, two 20k lifts, one 16k lift, two inground two post 12k lifts, one 14k four post, and one 14k open-ended alignment rack four post, eight different scan tools, two pico scopes, on the car brake Leith, two a/c machines, transmission flush machine, power steering flush machine, 20k press, parts washer cabinet, a smart washer, on the bench fuel injection cleaning machine is just a few things.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Full size brake room with a full size fridge , microwave, and a table that seat six
How many bays does your shop have?
We have a total of 10 bays in one building with lifts and three more in the adjacent building
How many repair orders do you average per month?
We average 30 a week about 120 a month
What is your parts ordering process?
All parts are ordered by vin. and done electronically through the p.o.s.
What is your policy on side work?
Here at the shop its okay if request and set up ahead of time and doesn't affect the day to day operation
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We provide monthly classes at our local community along with online classes to keep technicians current. Some of the classes are mandatory whereas others are optional
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
Opportunities are endless for the right technician. We will work with all of our techs from the beginning stages of their career, to a master tech level
Can you describe your performance review process?
30 and 90-day reviews for new hires. Annual reviews after that. We discuss the tech's strong points and weaker points. How they can improve and grow in the industry. Finally, wage increases
What type of safety training is required?
Saftey training for new hires
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Experienced technicians will work with younger technicians when time permits. They will be available for questions and to work side-by-side through repairs
How does your shop get involved with the local community?
We sponsor local events like car shows
Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
We're just starting to get involved with local high schools and local colleges but we're looking to grow that piece of our business going forward

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Most interviews are in-person. We will make exceptions if the candidate is not from the area, or if we would like to gage their interest level
What do your in-person interviews entail?
Interviews are done by the owner. We discuss the candidate's work history, and what their goals are in the industry. We also get to know them as a person. What are their hobbies, family life, and are they a good fit in the shop

Drug screening
Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
The majority of the skill assessment is done through the hiring process, and through the monthly classes

Within 1-2 days
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

Pay Range: $18.00 - $24.00/hour
Hourly pay with opportunities to advance and increase
Service Advisor
Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00/year
Salary position based on experience and background
A Level Technician
Pay Range: $32.00 - $36.00/hour
Open to discussion, techs can be paid on an hourly or flat-rate system, pay will be based on experience and certifications
B Level Technician
Pay Range: $24.00 - $30.00/hour
Open to discussion, techs can be paid on an hourly or flat-rate system, pay will be based on experience and certifications
Service Manager
Pay Range: $60.00 - $80,000.00/year
Salary plus commission on gross profit sales
Student Tech / Apprentice
Pay Range: $12.00 - $14.00/hour
Hourly paid position
Lube Technician
Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00/year
