Craig’s Car Care Job Description Service Advisor •Meet and greet clients both in person and on the phone. •Be attentive and sincere in wanting to help them with their service needs •Using the Napa TRACS and Auto Vitals management system •Look up the client and or enter them as a new client if they have not been in properly record the clients service request in TRACS. •Provide daily updates on any cars staying over night •Provide weekly updates on cars staying longer than a week. •Advise clients about necessary service for routine maintenance. •Help identify a mechanical problem by questioning the clients or doing a road test. •Confer with clients about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures, and prepare work order for needed repairs. •Prepare a repair order showing time, cost, and labor estimates for service. •Write a detailed description of the problem on the repair order to help the technician locate the problem. •Explain the work performed and the charges to the client. •Handle client complaints within their scope before seeking help from a manager. •Reading Comprehension – Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work- related documents. •Writing – Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the client. •Speaking – Talking to others to convey information effectively. •Active Listening – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. •2 day follow up call (how was your visit/thank you/ were you completely satisfied and we will call you in 6 months for next appointment •6 month appointment reminder •Be able to obtain their ASE C-1 certification within 1 year of employment
