Repair Planners/Estimator's
Responsibilities:
- Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair needs by evaluating the extent of damage, identifying parts and labor requirements, and reviewing repair history.
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software and tools, ensuring all necessary repairs and parts are included.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters, customers, and technicians to clarify repair needs, discuss repair options, and address any questions or concerns.
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely procurement of required parts and materials.
- Monitor the repair process to ensure adherence to estimates, quality standards, and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by keeping customers informed about repair progress and addressing any issues that arise.
- Stay updated with industry trends, repair techniques, and manufacturer specifications through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Repair Planner/Estimator or similar role in the auto body repair industry.
- Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, parts, and labor costs.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools (e.g., Mitchell, CCC One, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, insurance adjusters, and team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- ASE certification and/or experience with Tesla vehicles are a plus.
