Title: Quick Lane Technician

Location/Department: Sioux Falls Ford Lincoln Quick Lane

Reports to: Quick Lane Manager

Summary/Objective: As a Quick Lane Pit Technician, you will be responsible for visually inspecting the under carriage of a vehicle and removing appropriate plugs to drain any fluids that are needing to be replaced and well as replacing oil filters. Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Functions/Duties, include but not limited to: 

• Drain oil and replace oil filter.
• Visually inspect under carriage for any leaks, and report any findings to the appropriate Advisor.
• Remove and re-attach skid plates properly.
• Clean any oil residue present, post oil change.
• Remove any oil rags and all other debris at the end of each shift.
• Participate in overall cleaning of the pit area.
• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment/Equipment Used: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. Equipment used; all express lube shop equipment, computers, and Dealership POS.

The noise level in the environment is loud.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds and up to 25 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Expectation of Hours of Work: Shop hours are 7am – 6pm Monday – Friday and 7:30 am – 4 pm Saturday. Scheduled hours will vary to meet shop’s need.
