Express (Lube) Technician
In this role, you will assist with basic vehicle maintenance, perform minor repairs, and support the service team to ensure an exceptional customer experience. This is a great opportunity to build a foundation for a long-term career in automotive repair and service.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Perform basic maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, battery testing, and filter replacements.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and document findings accurately.
- Assist senior technicians with more complex diagnostic and repair work as needed.
- Ensure all work is completed to dealership and manufacturer quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Properly use dealership tools and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding vehicle status and any additional service needs.
- Participate in dealership-provided training and certifications to advance technical skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Who are we looking for?
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion or enrollment in an automotive technology program preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Basic mechanical knowledge and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Day Shift
Education/Requirements:
- High school or equivalent High School Diploma or GED Required - Automotive Trade School is a Plus
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
- Good knowledge of automobiles
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Good reading, computer, and mathematics skill
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Obtain and keep manufacture certifications up to date
- Perform Multi-point inspections 100% of the time
- Ability to work some scheduled Saturday’s
