  • Ensure guests are greeted cheerfully and in a timely manner
  • Welcome new guests to the Ford family and take every step to elevate the guest experience
  • Build rapport with guests that make them feel recognized and appreciated for who they are
  • Write Repair Orders and Vehicle Check-up Reports
  • Perform Interactive Inspection Processes while keeping the guest engaged 
  • Manage open repair orders with a proper daily route sheet
  • Provide complete and accurate written estimates for labor and parts
  • Indicate on repair orders exact guest information using proper operation codes
    • Make special note of the main reason(s) the guest brought the vehicle in
  • Set clear expectations and establish realistic “promise times”
    • Monitor work-in-process & DMS for work distribution, work with Service Manager to oversee production when necessary
  • Check progress of repairs throughout the day
  • Consistently stay in communication with guests about status of their vehicle
  • Respond to telephone inquiries regarding appointments, estimates, status, work-in-process, or other questions in a timely manner
  • Compare final invoice with original repair order including amendments
  • Perform a proper Re-Delivery


  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Service Advisor manufacturer certifications preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a service writer or advisor
  • Exceptional communication skills and experience dealing with complex issues and customer concerns
  • Integrity and honesty are absolute requirements
  • Effectively model and reinforce company Core Values and Mission Statement 
  • Ability to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds several times during each shift
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to type and utilize all functions of a computer and various operating programs
  • Efficiency using Microsoft Suite Programs such as: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and subsequent random drug screens
