Job Title: Mobile Service Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and independent Mobile Service Technician to join our team and perform off-site mechanical services for Ford and Lincoln vehicles. Operating from a fully equipped mobile service van, you’ll be responsible for routine maintenance, mechanical repairs, brake work, diagnostic scans, and more. This is a customer-facing role that plays a critical part in improving customer satisfaction, increasing shop productivity, and enhancing dealership sales volume. If you have master technician skills, a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Perform off-site mechanical and maintenance repairs on Ford and Lincoln vehicles using a mobile van.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including brake repairs and diesel engine work.
Conduct pre- and post-collision diagnostic scans and ADAS calibrations.
Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and basic repairs in a mobile/field setting.
Provide on-site brake repairs, part replacements, and occasional welding as needed.
Ensure all work meets dealership and factory repair standards.
Document services performed using proprietary software and maintain accurate records.
Maintain and operate the company-issued mobile service van, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and readiness.
Communicate with service advisors and customers to ensure clear understanding of services rendered.
Train or assist apprentice technicians as required.
Comply with all safety, environmental, and regulatory policies.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Master-level technician experience or equivalent skillset
Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities
Ability to work independently and manage a mobile service schedule
ASE and I-CAR certifications (preferred but not required)
Familiarity with diesel engines, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding tools
Proficiency with computers and repair documentation systems
Excellent customer service and communication skills
On-call availability may be required
Physical Demands
Perform physical work including lifting heavy parts and equipment (up to 75 lbs.)
Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic devices, and welding equipment
Stand, kneel, climb, and crouch to perform repairs in various environments
Road test vehicles and inspect equipment
Operate lift and jacks safely and effectively
Work Environment
This is a mobile, field-based position with work performed at various customer or off-site locations. The technician operates from a company-provided mobile service van and must adapt to different work environments and weather conditions. The role requires excellent time management, self-motivation, and strong communication skills to work effectively without direct supervision.
