The General Service Technician (Main Shop) is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. • Receive repair orders from designated service advisor • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. • Diagnose, document, and communicate work needed as outlined in the repair order with efficiency and accuracy. • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required. • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. • Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned. • Upon authorization, perform the requested repairs.
