Walser Polar Chevrolet is looking for a motivated, skilled automotive technician to join our team as a journeyperson. The facilities we operate in are state of the art, remodeled, and air-conditioned. The equipment you’ll use is as good as it gets.

Journeyperson duties:

• Examine the assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
• Communicate with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
• Road test vehicles when required
• Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
• Perform customer pay and warranty work
• Help develop technicians at lower skill levels
• Understand, keeps abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Document all work performed on the repair order including proper concern, cause, correction
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by the service manager and remain up to date
