Hudson Ford is looking for an Auto Bosy Technician who is responsible for repairing vehicles with collision damage to the OEM specifications, and work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. An auto body technician is expected to perform quality work without direct or continual supervision and be able and willing to work on all work assigned.

What you will be doing: 

• Receive repair orders and take vehicle to designated stalls/work areas
• Analyze collision damage force to capture secondary damage and perform repair, through the following:
  • Set up and measure using laser/sonar measuring systems.
  • Familiarity of basic unibody structural pulls to correct vehicle dimensions.
  • Steel and structural welding
  • Plastic repairs
  • Metal finish steel and aluminum panels to prepare for application of Polly fillers.
  • Having a basic mechanical aptitude for vehicle cooling and suspension systems
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards 
• Communicate with parts department to obtain parts as needed
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
• Inform Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the Repair Order 
• Road test vehicles to quality check work performed as required 
• Perform any additional duties as assigned

What you bring:

• At least 18 years of age with a valid Driver’s License and a reasonably clean driving record that will be subject to review
• At least 3 years of experience as an auto body technician in a shop environment
• Ability to complete high-level repairs in all aspects of the vehicle utilizing modern system diagnostics 
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the position and the dealership
