Experienced Automotive Technician

Full-time position; Monday – Friday, business hours ranging between 7:00am to 6:00pm.

We are seeking an Experienced Automotive Technician to become a part of our Northfield Automotive team!

Experience working at a Ford or Chrysler dealership is preferred, but not required.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
  • Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
  • Perform repairs to specifications (brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment)
  • Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g., leaks)
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
  • Completing warranty repairs
  • Used vehicle reconditioning
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area

Compensation & Benefits:

The hourly wage for this opportunity is $21.00/hour to $67.00/hour. Pay is dependent on several factors including production, relevant work experience, education, and certification & licensure. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees. Qualifications:

Required:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • 2+ years of experience working as an Automotive Technician

Preferred:

  • Experience working at a Ford or Chrysler dealership

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to complete job assignments with high quality in timely manner
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication & team collaboration skills
  • Understanding safety awareness & protocols to ensure industry standards are met
  • Continuous learning and ongoing education to keep up on latest trends and innovations in automotive technology
