Experienced Diesel Technician (1st Shift)
HOURS: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
- Repair, maintain and inspect medium & heavy duty diesel trucks
- Maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records
- Diagnose and repair various issues on all type of trucks and equipment
- Work on specialty pieces of equipment from a large variety of different industries throughout the Fox Valley
- Play a leading role in implementing and promoting workplace safety and professionalism
- Demonstrate positive work attitude in a team atmosphere
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Perform PM inspections and DOT's (Little to no assistance needed)
- Alignments (Little to no assistance needed)
- Brake inspections and replacements (Little to no assistance needed)
- Electrical and aftertreatment Diagnostics (Little to no assistance needed)
- Suspension Repairs (Little to no assistance needed)
- Tire Replacement (Little to no assistance needed)
- A/C Diagnostics and repair (Little to no assistance needed)
Experience: Diesel Technician - 3-5 years experience (Required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and completing work with a sense of urgency
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Sense of sound is required.
- Sense of balance is required.
- Limb and finger dexterity is required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform twisting, turning, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling motions.
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
