C Level Technician
Job Summary: The C-Level Auto Technician performs basic vehicle maintenance and assists higher-level technicians with repairs. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals starting their careers in the automotive industry who are eager to learn and develop their vehicle maintenance and repair skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Essential Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, and air filter replacements.
- Tire Services: Assist with tire installations, balancing, and repairs. Check and adjust tire pressure.
- Vehicle Inspections: Under the supervision of a more experienced technician, conduct basic inspections, including checking fluid levels, inspecting belts and hoses, and identifying visible issues.
- Assist with Repairs: Prepare tools, retrieve parts, and assist as needed to support B—and A-level technicians during more complex repairs.
- Shop Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized, properly disposing of used materials and fluids. Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and on-the-job learning opportunities to develop technical skills and knowledge of automotive systems.
- Documentation: Accurately document all maintenance services, including parts used and observations made during inspections.
- Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with customers, under supervision, to explain basic maintenance tasks and findings.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and chemicals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic Mechanical Aptitude: Some familiarity with vehicle components and a willingness to learn more about automotive systems and repair techniques.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions carefully and accurately complete tasks.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with team members and, when necessary, with customers.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy parts, standing for extended periods, and working in various positions.
- Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to acquire new skills and knowledge in the automotive field through hands-on experience and formal training.
Preferred Experience:
- Some experience in a related field, such as a vocational training program or previous work in an automotive setting, is beneficial but not required.
Working Conditions:
- Work is typically performed in a service bay or repair shop environment.
- Exposure to noise, heavy machinery, and automotive fluids.
- Protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection are required.
